Let's talk positives of being past our due dates

Okay, of course we all are happy when our babes are born healthy and when they are ready! But once you've hit your due date and you've been miserable for weeks- it can feel a little discouraging. I am not dialated or effaced one bit and today I had to schedule my induction for my 41 1/2 week marker. So I thought I'd start a thread where we can write positive things about that LO taking just a little longer to get here- for all of us in this situation :)

@shelliebee I am thinking this too! My husband has a 50% chance of making the delivery if we make it to the date of induction! I hope your hubby gets to be there too! I know how hard this is going it alone!
  • I'll miss having this baby all to myself. I'll miss the feeling of carrying my last baby, of eating what I want without guilt, and especially will miss wondering if I'm carrying a boy or a girl.
  • My baby girl's EDD is tomorrow. I will miss carrying her and knowing she is okay when she kicked through out the day. Especially, when I have to go back to work. Meanwhile, I will cherish these last special moments we have with each other, still in the womb.
  • I am also due tomorrow and fully expect to go past my date... I will miss letting my husband feel my belly when baby kicks, and my husband singing to my belly. Baby always does a little dance for us. :) these are his last precious little punches, turns, hiccups, and tricks, and as ready as I am to meet him, I will cherish every second of these next few days of pregnancy.
  • You still have a while to play the pregnancy card ...
  • I'm hoping this also means chunky cheeks. I love babies with serious fat faces lol.
  • I am due tomorrow (2-6) but should have an induction date for next week because they don't allow gestational diabetes to go over 41 weeks. I will miss the kicks and punches and watching my daughter rub my belly and "hug her sister"
