I'm 39 weeks and he moves constantly, but I'm concerned about his hearing because he doesn't react to loud noises. Is this something to worry about? Any thoughts or experience?
You have to remember the baby has vernix in his ears, then is under water, then inside your uterus, then behind fat and muscle and skin. A loud noise is quite muffled before he could hear it. My baby seems to get more still/quiet when I am someplace noisy or play loud music. I figure it is interesting to her.
Seriously, this is not something to worry about. Enjoy the last little bit of your pregnancy
Did you have genetic testing done? Being a carrier of hearing loss is one of the tests/results. I wouldn't worry at this point, you're almost due and they will test once born
