2nd Trimester

2nd Pregnancy- when did you start to feel movement?

Moms of 2nd plus pregnancies, when did you start to feel movement?  I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow and I don't think it was until around 18 weeks I felt it with my first.

Re: 2nd Pregnancy- when did you start to feel movement?

  • I'm 18 weeks with number 2 and just started feeling movement this week. The first time I think I was closer to 22 weeks.

  • I'm 23 weeks with baby number 2 and started feeling him move as early as 13 weeks which I thought was weird but true.
  • 2nd was late- 18-20 weeks and then not regular until 23 weeks maybe.  I had an anterior placenta.  This one, 15 weeks and starting to be regular at 21 weeks.

  • Thanks all!  Yeah, every few days I *think* I might feel something when I actually have a second to sit quietly and not run after my 2 1/2 year old haha!  I was just curious, it still seems pretty quiet, but I know it's early.  I just can't wait for those movements!!
  • I'm 14 weeks with #2 and felt flutters last week. Midwife asked me today had I felt baby move. She says it happens often this early but we mistake it for stuff like gas
  • I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow with #2 and will feel something randomly but very few and far between. I also have an anterior placenta so my doc said I probably won't feel anything for a few more weeks and even then it'll be muted.

  • It was 15 weeks. The first time it wasn't until 21 weeks due to having an anterior placenta and not knowing exactly what it felt like.... this time around. no doubt! :)
