This weekly check-in is for anyone using/considering or who has used a 3rd party method of reproduction, including: Donor egg, donor sperm, embryo adoption, gestation carrier, or surrogate - also Donors, GC's and surrogates are welcome as well! If you don't check-in for 3 weeks you'll be removed from the list but we'll happily add you back next time you check in!

Hello everyone, I'm wide awake at midnight on east coast..... So I'll be first to respond.
I'm in the dreaded 2ww hoping that this is the one. Did hear from doc that this might be last or next to last iui do to numerous fertility and reproductive system complications. So I'm trying to stay positive and relaxed.
They should invent a home ultrasound kit where one can look inside body and see what the heck is going on.

I hope we all have a relaxing week.

Hey ladies....
Thanks @mm29‌ for the positive thoughts.! As for now I seriously have no freakin clue what's going on... Went off bcp jan 6th and no period in sight. My body is officially pissed off at me and on strike for my next FET. I have no clue what the plan is but by now my depot Lupron has worn off and soon my intralipid infusion will be worn off as well. I will probably talk to the dr end of this week and see what the next plan is. I'm to call him as soon as my period comes so he can instruct me what to do...?? So weird!

P.s @mm29‌ the adoption is going well... We had court a few weeks ago and they gave the Bf 6 more months to prove himself, the mothers FR was terminated so she most likely has no way to get any kids back! And now we find out the BF isn't doing too well anymore so fx!

Hello ladies.  I haven't checked in for quite some time but I'm trying to reconnect.  We have drained all our funds for IF treatments and are trying to save and pay down bills so there isn't much to update in that area.  I've been doing okay, pretty depressed but I'm managing.  I had surgery last Thursday, unrelated to IF, so I'm spending lots of time in bed and on the couch.

We are still wanting to use our DEms that are at F.irm, we have 3-5d blasts remaining out of 5.  Until we proceed with that, we need to do another biopsy and Endometrial Function Test to determine if my UTE develops enough for implantation.  If not, then we will probably donate them back.

We are also planning to do at home insems with my BFF.  She wants to be a traditional surrogate for us.  She needs to get some meds changed and both my H and herself want/need to make a few other changes.  We are planning to start in October and I pray that it works quickly.  Obviously, with DH's sperm issues, I don't have high hopes but we have to try at least.  Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky on our first try right?!

Well that's about it for updates.  I still see many familiar names in the check-in.  Congratulations and HUGE hugs to everyone.  I think of you all everyday even though I haven't been sharing.

QOTW:  This is way to hard to just pick one!  I'm into action movies though.

Hello. I have another US and bloodwork Thursday and if all goes well, our FET will be on the 13th.

Hi group - I'm still new here and don't really have much to update. Our RE appt is Feb. 20 to get the final info to help us decide if we're going with egg or embryo donation. I'm about 75% sure we will do this overseas - it's looking like Czech Republic (but I'm still gathering clinic data for my spreadsheets... gag...). In the meantime, we're still technically trying au naturele - which hasn't worked for 5 years, so I'm not too hopeful. Anyways, that's where we're at!

QOTW: I'm a big fan of "Amelie" but I also like "Love Actually" at Christmastime

Well it's been one week since we've been home. Adjusting well but I'm still so sore and swollen. She needs to have an u/s on her hips but I heard that's standard for breech babies. Mia has MH wrapped around her finger already! She is just an angel. A few pp have said how she looks like me...find it interesting since we did DE

Praying hard for all of those still waiting. I just wish this wasn't so complicated.

@BeckyP005‌ , congrats! We have people remark all the time that one or both of the twins look like either us or our other son ( who was not DE). Yes, a hip ultrasound is standard for breech babies and it was not distressing to the twin that needed it.. Good luck!

Long week traveling to WI for work, between flight cancellations and delays, finally made it there Tuesday night and got home late Friday night.  It made this past week go very quickly and this Friday is quickly approaching where we will find out the official sex of the baby even though our surrogate is convinced it is a girl.
