High-Risk Pregnancy

Scheduled for Induction-Nervous!

I don't post here much but needed a place to let out some anxieties, so bear with me! After having my
Cerclage removed at 36 weeks and then not dilating at all, it looks like some of the stitch was left behind. I am now at term and because I am fully effaced but not dilated, and dr can't even get a finger in my cervix, we are going to induce this Thursday and he is hoping to be able to get the stitch out completely so we can have a vaginal delivery. I was induced with DS so I know how this goes, but for some reason I'm very anxious and stressed about this one. I've been very weary this entire pregnancy and a friend of mine thinks it's because I had a miscarriage before I got pregnant, so I'm not yet convinced that this baby will be ok, until she is actually here. Has anyone else felt this way? I hate always thinking the worst but it's become very consuming for me lately. Any words of wisdom or advice are much appreciated in these next few days as we prepare for our new arrival!

  • I don't really have any advice, but you are not alone in your worries. I think it's very natural to worry more after a loss. All you can do is your best to stay calm and positive as you get ready to bring this little girl into the world.
