We're thinking of Ann/Anne as a middle name for DD#2 - Ann is my mom's and my middle name; Anne is my MIL's name, SIL's middle name and also my little half-sister's middle name.
I like that the name is important to so many of us, but am slightly worried about insulting those whose spelling we don't use (probably over thinking?).
So - as a way to help us decide, which do you think would be misspelled the LEAST? Either way a little bit easier to have than the other?
Re: Which spelling is better: Ann or Anne?
And I've only had one person my entire life mispronounce my name (Starbucks barista doesn't count haha). Most people with a general idea of phonetics know the "E" is silent and not pronounced Annie.

Personally I like Anne over Ann. But the question I have is who would you rather "honor" more? If its your side, then I would do Ann, if his side then Anne. I think with your MN as Ann, your IL won't get offended if you drop the e.
