bleeding after my internal exam

Today was my 38 week checkup. My doctor did an internal exam and ever since I left the office, I've been bleeding. At first it was like i had my period, but it changed to light bleeding after a few hours. Is that normal after an exam?

Yes! I had the same thing with my first baby. I would say as long as it is getting lighter and not heavier you are going to be okay...I would just be cautious. Take it easy and have a lower threshold to go into labor and delivery if you feel contractions or notice less fetal movement. I think I remember my bleeding only lasting for about 3-5 hours...and I had some cramping. But baby was good and healthy and it all went away. Hoping the same for you!

I've not had it happen but they tell me every time (previous two kids) that it's normal. Surprised they didn't bring up to you.

Yep- I always had bleeding when my doctor checked me in those final weeks.
