Baby cold

So DS#2 finally got the cold that DS#1 has been desperately trying to give him! (lol!) so now I have a 9 week old that is super congested and a wet cough! I'm using a snot sucker, coryzalia, humidifier, raised his head in the crib, warm bath and a tiny bit of tylenol. I feel so bad for him. Does anyone have any other ideas?

At that age---I sat with DS in the bathroom with the shower running while we read a ton of books. It would help him especially before bed to sleep at night. You can also make sure he's getting lots of fluids to help thin out the congestion.

I don't have any other ideas, but I know what you are going through. Our 6 week old caught DD's cold.

Sounds like your doing everything you can. I was talking to my cousin who's a nurse and she was saying it's important to replace what your taking out with extra fluids. Helps things drain. Hope he feels better soon!

@emja0214‌ doesn't it suck! DS#1 didn't get his first cold until closer to 4/5 months this just seems too soon!

Thanks guys! I gave him a nice long warm bath tonight. hopefully it passes quickly.

DS had his first cold a few weeks ago. We did everything you listed. It sucked. We are still dealing with residual congestion a couple weeks later :-(
