Are over easy eggs okay to eat while pregnant? ..

I know sounds like a stupid question but I didn't think of until after I cooked them and started eating it lol..

According to everything I've been reading we can't eat anything uncooked. So, OH eggs for the next 8 months lol

I've had them too. Then I worried. So I haven't had them again. My doc told me everything in moderation. And not to stress so much. (:

My SO and I went to Dunkin Donuts yesterday and they had cookie dough filled donuts and I was crushed that I couldn't have one. Funny thing is when he asked what I wanted and I told him those but I can't have them he asked if there was anything I could have. I looked at him and snapped "yes, anything that doesn't have raw eggs in it!" I really love cookie dough. :'(

@tigerfish227‌ - You can make cookie dough at home and just eliminate the eggs if you're having a craving!

I've been craving unsweetened iced tea like no other, but am avoiding all caffeine so I've got a long wait!

I can't eat eggs any other way. Yum. It is up to you what risks you take in pregnancy. To me, this isn't a big deal.

@tigerfish227‌ -I feel your pain! I own a bakery and all we do are cookies! I jokingly told my husband that he is going to have to take over because it's pure torture to be around all that cookie dough!

@jen83mn‌ do you use something to replace the eggs or just everything but the eggs? It isn't so much a craving as much as it was the only thing that really sounded yummy, probably because I couldn't have it!

@victoriah1516‌ I would not survive! The temptation would be enough to drive me mad! Good luck and stay strong!

I read anything is ok in moderation and the "rule" is if it didn't make you sick before (and the place making it is still clean) it won't now...including some sushi!

Dunkin donuts would not sell donuts with raw eggs. It's cream filling flavored to taste like cookie dough not actual raw cookie dough inside of a donut!

    So go eat them.

OMG really!? The lady at the counter taking our order didn't correct me when I said it. Maybe she didn't know. I might go back and ask just to be sure. You might have just made me a very happy momma!!!

Yeah, there is no way those have actual raw egg cookie dough in them! First of all, they aren't refrigerated, sooo... Second, that would be insane to risk.

There are like a million eggless cookie dough recipes on the internet too, they are made for eating raw. in case you just want to make your own.

Salmonella is generally on the OUTSIDE of the egg (unless mama chicken was infected but that's really rare in the US) so just wash the outside of the egg with a little dish soap and you should be all good!

@tigerfish227‌ - I'm assuming you could just leave the eggs out completely ... since you're not baking the dough, you wouldn't need the eggs to make the cookies bake correctly and I doubt the lack of eggs changes the taste much. But there's also recipes online for eggless cookie dough too!
