How's everyone sleeping?

hey Everyone! I feel like since the group split up we haven't had any discussions about our LOs.

How is everyone doing?
How are you sleeping?
How is the teething going?
Any teeth?

My LO has been suffering from that darn teething for months now and no teeth! We finally got a Merlin Magic Sleep Suit and he is sleeping better but still up 2-4 times per night.

Can't wait to hear from everyone

i'm in! Sorry to hear about the endless teething @blondee4685 - glad the sleep suit is helping

How is everyone doing? Overall I have a great sleeper - DS goes down around 7.30, nurses around 4 or 5, and then back to bed until somewhere between 7 and 8. I like the 8 am mornings much better ;)

How are you sleeping? I get about 6.5 hours - bed at 10, and then I stay up after the MOTN nurse to work out. So... I'm tired, but it's manageable. If I can sneak in a 30 minute nap I feel way better, but there's not always time.

How is the teething going? Hands stuffed in mouth all the time, chewing on everything, lots of drool, but he's handling it like a champ. I don't see any tooth buds yet, so I think we're still in the early stages...

    Any teeth? Not yet!

  • It has been going pretty well with my DD since her open heart surgery in November. She has been sleeping through the night from the first day she was born so we would have to wake her up to feed her. Once we have the post op visit in December they said we could stop making her formula 22 calories and just let her sleep. Teething is awful and we have two upper teeth almost through. As for me sleeping there is alot going on with my mom dying and my DD so i worry alot and do not sleep well.

  • I feel like we're just getting back on track after a rough patch. DS and I were away visiting my family for a month around Christmas and he slept in a play pen and napped in his car seat the whole time. When we got home, we suddenly couldn't put him down asleep in his crib without him waking up and screaming. Finally, after about two weeks we decided it was time to sleep train him. It went really well. By day 3 he was falling asleep within minutes of being put down and now he's almost always asleep in less than a minute. It's amazing. Our only problem now is that he's started waking up earlier and earlier. Used to get up at 8:30, then 7 for a while, then 6 for a few days and this morning he was up at 5 :(. That's something to work on now but overall sleep has been much stressful in the 5 days we've been sleep training.

No teething here as far as I can tell. I'm pretty sure any crankiness we've been seeing is more related to sleep than to teeth.
  • What is a Merlin Magic Sleep Suit?

  • LO is STTN, it's great! You'd think I'd sleep when he does but it's the only time I get time for myself. So sometimes I'm tired but nothing like the NB stage!

Signs of teething but nothing official.
  • He sleeps from about 7:30 to 5 for a quick feed and then back to sleep until about 7:30/8. His naps are still only 45 minutes :(.

I'm sleeping ok. Usually to bed by 10. My husband wakes at 6 and DS1 at 6:30. So it's hard to fall back asleep after his 5 feed.

No teeth yet but hands constantly in his mouth!
  • @mercedesbenz802‌ Merlin Magic Sleep Suit is a suit (looks like a snow suit) that is a transition suit from swaddling. It helps so my LO can't automatically roll over when he wakes up and isn't easily startled so he sleeps longer. image

My LO had heart surgery less than 24 hours old. TAPVR, among some other heart stuff. Glad your LO is doing better....did your LO like to be swaddled? Mine hated it because he was never swaddled since he was in hospital so the Magic Sleep Suit works great!
  • Love the sleep suit over here too! We call it his astronaut suit :) great swaddle transition. We tried the zipadeezip, he was able to move too much! We still have 2-3 wakings, but they are quick and I can usually fall asleep pretty quick again. He's down by 7:00 then usually wakes close to 2:00 and 5:00 to feed the up about 7 am. Ditto about teething here. The drool, chewing, etc for months, but no sign if teeth making their debut!
  • DD hates being swaddled but usually if her arms are out she is ok with it. I can not really complain about her sleep. She is usually down at 7:30pm 8pm and up at 7am then will go back to bed till 9am most morning
