harmony test results with wrong gender?

Does anyone have personal experience with this? I am greatful that the genetic testing came back negative but I have read quite a few reviews about the gender being wrong. Mostly testing as girl and very much being a boy. I was told I am having my second boy, thankful for a healthy baby but was so hoping for a little princess just curious about the result feedback!

I would imagine that if they have told you boy then they have detected a 'y' chromosome so you are probably having a boy. I'm sure it has a disclaimer that it is only 99% accurate.

I have heard of certain tests like Amnios coming back as a girl when in fact it's a boy.  My understanding is, it's the mother's X that messes with the results.  Never heard of it going the other way though, being told it was a boy when in fact it's a girl.  If they detected a Y, I would be confident in the results.

Have you had your anatomy scan yet? You can always just rely on those results if you have doubts about the genetic test.

Not yet. I go on the 17th for the anatomy scan. I have seen a couple of articles where it testes positive for a boy and ended up being a girl. Something about if the mother has previously had a boy. I was just curious about all of the posibilities with this testing. It's newer so there isn't much out there to go off of lol I will however be happy with another little man
