Bedtime Question Need Advice!!

Hi all, my little lad is now 12 weeks old and he's starting to outgrow his Moses basket, I know he's not meant to go in his own room until he's 6 months old. He has a dummy and everytime he spits it out he crys so it puts me off putting him in his own room anyway as I'd be up and down every second cos of him crying about his dummy. Did/does anyone else have this issue and how have you solved it??? Thanks for all help. Really at a lose x

Is dummy a pacifier? I've had LO sleep in her crib in her room at night from day 1. I don't there's a rule of how soon/late to transition LO to their crib...its trial and error. We were lucky w both our kids...had them sleep in their crib at night from day 1 so no transition needed. Good luck

I am in the same boat. It's a recent problem, just since Pips started teething, that she wants a paci a lot more often, especially at bedtime. I just keep getting up and down with her, some nights are better than others. Her sound machine helps a lot. As does having a fan running. Pips still fits in her sleeper so I don't have any advise on that front.

I'm up at the moment because she kept spitting out her paci and eventually had a melt down over not keeping it in. So I got up, changed her, got her a bottle and we were cuddling and while she nodded off paci free. I was pretty excited... And then she filled her diaper and is wide awake again... Yay @-)

We transitioned to his pack and play before the crib. I think the 6 month recommendation is for SIDS.

Are you breastfeeding? If so, co-sleep. It makes the constant putting pacifier back in mouth, not so annoying. If you're totally uncomfortable keeping baby in bed with you, get a side bed sleeper so you can reach right over without getting out of bed.

Our LO was in his crib at 8 weeks. We have a video monitor. He falls a sleep with a dummy, but spits it out about 5 minutes after we put him down. Now at 13 weeks we are attempting to put him in his crib still awake, so he can learn to put himself to sleep. It's actually working well, its easier then rocking him to sleep then trying to carefully lay him in his crib. He might fuss for 5 min. But then boom he falls asleep.
