Chills, fever, headache 4 weeks pp

Last night I got those symptoms with a fever of 101. I took some IBUPROPEN and my fever and chills were gone about 4 hours later. My uterus is a little tender still but I'm not in any pain.

I called my doctor this morning because I was concerned it could be a uterine infection. They said to keep an eye on it because I'm not having any symptoms at the moment. They also said if it was a uterine infection that I would be in severe pain.

Has anyone had a uterine infection that could tell me what your symptoms were and what your Dr. Treated you with??

Wondering if it's just a virus or something more serious.

Are you breastfeeding? Those are also symptoms for mastitis, which is more common in new moms. I had it right around that time with ds1.

I developed mastitis and endometritis after my c-section.  My OB ‘s instructions were to come in if I had a fever over 100.4 F or if I had a headache that wasn’t improving.  I didn’t have much uterine pain but I think it was probably caught early.  It was 11 days after my c-section when I was re-admitted to hospital.  They gave me IV antibiotics for 48 hours (clindamycin, gentamicin and tobramycin) and then discharged me with cloxacillin.  I would definitely call your doctor back if the fever persists.

I had this as well but it was mastitis...antibiotics didn't work so I had to have surgery to drain my left breast.  It was obvious that it was mastitis though.
