TTMA convertible car seats

XP from FB

My husband and I are wanting to buy a convertible car seat for DS because bucket seat sucks, and we want to extend read face (arizona drivers are awful.) we both own Honda civics and are looking for one that will fit well in our back seats with in a $200 price range.

Throw your options at me!

Thank you

The Graco Size4me is under $200. We haven't purchased it yet so I can't speak to how LO likes it. We have a Nextfit but we need another convertible for the sitter when we're at work and I don't want to drop a lot of money on a car seat that'll get a lot less use.

I will say if you can afford it the Nextfit has a smaller footprint rear facing than most other car seats I've tried out. That's just my opinion though.
  • Safety first complete air 65 is amazing I love it. It's pretty big though so I'm not sure how it would fit in a car it fits my jeep Cherokee well which is a smaller suv

  • We got the Graco Size4Me 65 and really like it.  It was pretty easy to install in both our Nissan Versa and our Ford Fusion.  The passenger seats to have to be moved up a ways, but an average-height passenger can still ride comfortably.  My 6' 4" DH can sit in the passenger side if he needs to, but he wouldn't say it's comfortable.
  • I have a 2 door Accura and I just wound up buying the Chicco nextfit. It was the only one that fit in that tiny back seat. The seat is also steeply angled and the the Chicco has 9 different tilt settings so it was the only one which could actually sit level. Unfortunately it is around $299, but right now BRU is having their trade in sale so if you have an extra swing, bassinett, car seat (even expired ones) then take it in and get 25% off your car seat. If you go to Buy Buy Baby, they will let you take the car seats out to the car and check fitment!

  • DH and I have small cars (Ford Fusion and Vw Jetta) and each have the graco mysize/size4me. It fits great & C likes it from what I can tell. It retails for maybe $170?
  • We also got the Nextfits with the trade in discount putting them a little over $200. We like the ease of install, steel frames and multiple angle options.
