Protein C Deficiency

Hey all, I just heard from my doc today that I have the inherited (not acquired) protein c deficiency and was wondering if any of you have been diagnosed with this as well? Any complications so far or perhaps with a previous pregnancy? This is supposedly very rare, like 1 in 500 - lucky me, ha! I am to take a baby aspirin a day to help with blood thinning to avoid any clots. This has been known to cause blood clots in the placenta and therefore blocking oxygen to the baby and resulting in a miscarriage/stillbirth - so it has the potential to be very serious, but there are thankfully cases of normal pregnancies with this deficiency as well. Anyway, just curious to see if anyone else is familiar with this!

You can ask your doctor about Lovenox - women who have protein c deficiency sometimes get put on this anticoagulant. Maybe you can ask your doctor about it next time?
