Name suggestions for twin boys

Hi! I'm a ftm and am due in July with twin boys :) I'm having a tough time thinking of names for these guys. We would like to use Irish names and have tentatively agreed on Seamus for one of them...I don't really like super unique names and lean more toward traditional. I don't want to get toooo ethnic since I don't want to burden the kids too much with spelling/pronunciation problems once they hit school.
Please help!

Re: Name suggestions for twin boys

  • I know next to nothing about Irish names and unfortunately can only claim one tiny bit of Irish ancestry, so I'll give you the point of view of a dumb American than doesn't know Joe to pronounce Irish names =)
Seamus is a name I've been crushing on recently, but can't decide if I could use it because of the pronunciation being so unknown to most Americans.

Here's a list I like and know how to pronounce from BTN's list of masculine Irish names:

    Alastar
    Ciarán
    Cillian
    Deasún (day' sun)?
    Finnegán(how about Seamus & Finnegán :p)
