Provera?

I am going to the Gyn on Wed. for my annual and I am cycle day 84 today.  I have heard some people were prescribed provera to get AF started.  Did your Dr. do blood work first and what kind of blood work?  I just googled and they said do not take provera if you think you could be pg.  I gave up on charting and do not know if I ovulated.  So I guess I could be in the 2ww or 1ww at anytime.  I continue to POAS every week and BFN.  I guess I am just looking for your experience so I know what to discuss with my doctor.

I'm not totally sure, but I am sure they will do a pregnancy test.  If you want to be sure, you and DH could not have sex for the 2 weeks leading up to when you'd take the Provera.

The kinds of tests depend on your dr. but they will definitely give you a pregnancy test.

They just do a urine pregnancy test.

I am on Provera now... I have to kick start every cycle with Provera. Otherwise I just wont ever have a period. I don't like taking it but it gets the job done. They will do a pregnancy tests and other tests will be based on your situation

They'll just do a regular urine test. If it's negative, they'll give you a script for it and you could start taking it right away.

Any time I've taken provera the doctor has had bloodwork done to see if I've ovulated or not.  If you haven't ovulated you can't be pregnant.  If you have ovulated you'll either get your period or you are pregnant.

I just started Prometrium last night.  I had to get bloodwork right before I took it.  I was n CD103 when I started.  I had a blood HCG drawn..along with Prolactin and TSH levels.
