I like to think of an epidural as a form of survival of the fittest. I'm smart, therefore I know that minimal pain is the way to go.
Also, I was diagnosed with a severely low pain tolerance. Because of my disorder, my team of doctors has insisted that I get an epidural. The last time I tried to push out a baby with no epidural, I was in a medically induced coma for 567 mother effing days.
