I thought I'd use my last ovulation test but my ovulation test come up positive has smiley face but I'm already 10 weeks pregnant??does that mean I'm ovulating again while pregnant?
I guess I don't understand why you would take an ovulation test while pregnant. Unless there are some absolutely crazy circumstances, see pp for example, you are not ovulating.
You cannot ovulate while pregnant unless, as a PP stated, you have multiple uteruses (uteri?) and ovaries that would allow that. Which is so incredibly rare and unlikely. But it is impossible, with the vast vast majority of women, who have the regulation set-up down there, to ovulate while pregnant. I would recommend that you get some pregnancy books.
Here's what's probably happening: LH, which is the chemical that surges when you ovulate, is very similar to hCG, which is produced when you're pregnant. So, if you take an ovulation test, it can confuse the two and you end up with a positive OPK.
If you want to keep testing, pee on a pregnancy test, but I wouldn't keep doing it because of something called the Hook Effect.

@aspecialsnowflake she ended up having a missed miscarriage with the 2nd pregnancy at about 9 weeks, but she was 'double' knocked up for that 9 week time frame.

This happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. Its a long story but I didnt know i was pregnant, so I was taking the test for what I thought was my next cycle and it came up positive way earlier than it should have. Pregnancy hormones will result in a positive ovulation test. Don't worry!
The hormone detected by an opk (lh) has a very similar structure to hcg, what is detected on a home pregnancy test. Opks can be used as a pregnancy test, but hits can't be used as an opk. Your opk is telling you that you're pregnant!

Wow I've never heard of that. I'm sorry she lost the other baby though. Hopefully she had a happy and healthy child.
I'm still confused as to why anybody would be taking an ovulation test when they know they're pregnant? I agree with the pregnancy tests too. I understand peeing on a bunch of sticks when you first find out you're pregnant, but it just doesn't make sense to keep doing so as your pregnancy progresses.
It is possible to get preggo again a few days after you conceive the first baby but no clue about 10 weeks I would as ur on and probably not have sex because if you did conceive another this late in your pregnancy I doubt she would survive
This is completely normal, opks become positive when you are pregnant. These sticks pick up both types of hormones. I took an opk after my first positive hpt (at around 14 dpo) to test this out for myself and it was very positive.
I have a whole bunch left over and tried one out of pure curiosity last week (11 weeks) and it was still blazing positive.
I do however agree with the other posts - avoid peeing on sticks at this stage, particularly if you've seen a doc and confirmed the pregnancy.
