  • As the days count down I am so anxious to see my son. DH and I often talk about what he will look like.. Who's hair color and eye color he will have.. Who's nose etc. The anticipation is slowly killing me because I want to meet him so bad! I truly hope he stays put the 3 weeks we have left. :)
  • I hit a wall today, I am officially over being pregnant. I am grateful for the healthy pregnancy I have had to date but I legit ugly cried this AM. My OB said that elective inductions is a possibility at 39 weeks. Initially I said no way, my body will do its thing in the next few weeks. Today I am seriously reconsidering her offer. I can't wait to meet my little girl but she seem quite content in hotel uterus.

My child's father and I do this too. We had a 4d ultrasound so we have a small idea of what she may look like. So the anticipation is even worse!!! The 3rd can't come any faster!
  • SOOO anxious to meet my two little men. I know it is in their best interest to wait until my scheduled induction (2 weeks from today!!!) but I am so ready to see their little faces and meet these little guys!

Oh and totally ready to be able to move around and function at a normal level- I can barely bend down without making sound effects cause it is so uncomfortable!

    Married to Lee since 9/2/2000

Momma to Hais November 2002 and Carter April 2010 (with use of fertility treatments)

  • I have 3 weeks left until my EDD. It seems like 3 damn years!! Everyone says they think I'll go early around 38 weeks but I'm not so sure. She seems fine with staying in there. If she decides she's healthy and ready at 38 weeks I wouldn't complain one bit to be honest. But I want her to cook as long as possible. My fiance lost his 3 month old in October and a friend just lost her 4 month old this month. I'm not taking any chances. (Did that last part even make sense to y'all? )

I wanted to get a 3/4d ultrasound done. I tried at 31 weeks and the place told me I was too far along. :( I argued and said I'm paying so please let us get it. But they were firm on saying no because "women after 30 weeks don't have good 3d images due to baby's positioning" I was so furious! There wasn't another place within a two hour radius of me that did them.
  • I am 38 weeks and 3 days. I am ready, so very, very ready! I mean there are still things to do I'm sure but I feel like he grows a pound everyday! The uncomfortableness is real lol. Since he's my first my OB said she won't induce until 41 weeks! Which I totally respect, because honestly I would like my body to do it's thing naturally if possible- but the wait is killing me! And the weight!!!! Lol today my blood pressure was elevated and my vision got blurry. Plus I've been having lots of swelling the past 2 weeks. So I am getting some tests run- hope all is well, but I also just hope he's ready and we can get this party started!
  • I've been very fortunate to have a fairly great pregnancy thus far, but I'm really starting to feel it this last week (at 35 weeks). The swelling is intense! I'm a first grade teacher, so I'm on my feet a lot, but I've been trying to limit it somewhat. My blood pressure and everything has been fine so I'm not really concerned, but damn! Sleeping well would also be nice, but I know that won't happen for a while either!

@maasybaby‌ - I agree with you on the worrying. My girl moves a decent amount, but I still have irrational fears. I'm sure this will continue and I'll be a worrywart parent haha!

That's so weird because the lady who did mine tried to get me to wait until I was right at 30-31 weeks because she said the babies features would be more pronounced and she would have more fat on her. But I was too impatient.
  • 35 weeks and I'm so with you!!! I'm sore, I can't sleep, none of my clothes are comfortable, and everyone around me is on my last nerve. And then I cry, then feel bad for crying, which makes me cry more. And I'm hungry, but literally don't want to eat anything because it all sounds awful. And a tad horny but that's uncomfortable too.

    I'm a little over pregnancy.

  • I'm with you, Wimcgrath! I'm also a first grade teacher and am on my feet a lot. Started with sciatica a few weeks ago and almost had to take an early leave. Thankfully, I started to get some relief about a week ago. Friday the 30th is my last day and I'm hoping I can make it until then but if he comes sooner on his own, I won't be upset at all :-) can't wait to see my feet again. I'm currently 37 weeks and 5 days and he is estimated to be 7 lbs 4 oz so he's a healthy weight if he came now
  • I was told to have mine done anywhere between 28-31 weeks because that's the best time to see them. I went in at 28 weeks and she was small but hard to see because her face was pushed into my placenta so I had a repeat session at 30 weeks and 33 weeks and both of those were quite successful. You could see a lot. That's crazy that they actually wouldn't let you!

The place we had ours done also said its best to wait until 30-32 weeks so that the baby is more developed. We did ours at 30 and it worked just fine. That's insane that they wouldn't let you. Soon we will all get to meet our babies in person!! Good luck!
