Weekend Plans?

Any plans for the weekend?  For those of you battling a cold or flu I hope you feel better soon!!

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Tonight I plan to relax and work on the second scarf that I started.

Tomorrow we are having company over for a Norwex party. I hate hosting things like this, but I am interested in Norwex and wanted to learn more. It's a company that sells cleaning products that are supposedly chemical free. That's all I know at this point.

We don't have any other plans but I'm sure we will come up with something.

    Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

     ****All Welcome!****

  • Tonight the usual dinner out and then needs to come home and pack.

L leaves crazy early tomorrow for a work trip. The kids and I are going to kick around the house, before they have soccer practice, I'll pick of their friend to spend the night and let them play.

Sunday - I might take the 3 kids to a movie and at some point, I'll drop their friend off at her house or meet her mom for lunch/adult conversation.

The kids are off of school Monday and Tuesday so I had to take off. I promised a trip to Dave and Busters and having their friend come over to play. Who knows how else we will spend our time. We'll need to go grocery shopping and I will need to get ready for the week. L comes home late Tuesday.

Tomorrow will be busy.  G has tumbling in the morning, then we race to a baby shower, then on to a rugby alum party.  All before nap time!

S has to work all morning but hopefully by the time nap is over, she'll be with us for the whole rest of the weekend!!!! (She didn't have to travel for work this weekend).

We plan to run a few errands during the day, and maybe get some things done around the house after G's bedtime.

Sunday I have choir rehearsal and I typically take G with me because there is child care, so S might actually have some alone time! (I'm only moderately jealous of that).

  • Tonight we are going to early happy hour before picking up S from daycare at 5! Then playtime with her, and at her bedtime (7:30) I'm going to meet a friend out for dinner!! I feel a little sad leaving J on a Friday night, but, well, she went to see Mates of State on Wednesday night so this is 'my' night out with a friend!

Tomorrow we are going to a yardsale, touring the Spanish pre-school J wants Simone to go to when she is 2 (yes, we are ahead on that front) and then home for nap, ending up with an afternoon social from 4-6 at one of J's customer's houses (whose become friends with her).

Sunday J works 4 a.m. - noon, so S & I will kick it - maybe coffee/walk with someone? Then she has a store meeting that night, so we'll be on our own for a bit then too.

Honestly just us all being healthy again (for the most part) is unbelievably refreshing! And the week sure flies when you're hopped up on cold meds, so I'm just grateful for the weekend. :)

  • Tonight the whole fam is going to meet up with my old boss. J is the one who set up the coffee date (she is kind of like a mentor for J, strange I know) M and I are going to tag along to say hi and catch up for a bit and then head home so that J can pick her brain. I'd be interested in what she has to say, but doubt M cares about strategic planning and fundraising.

Tomorrow we are hosting a b-day brunch for our nanny, she's turning the dirty 30 and asked if she could have a gathering at our house. Our house is a disaster, but it should be fun and a small group. She's excited to show M off to her friends (some of which are mutual)

Sunday, hopefully we'll go work on our table. It's nice to hang out with my dad and I REALLY want to finish it so that I can focus on finishing up M's mural.

  • Tonight we are having breakfast for dinner (scrambled eggs with sautéed spinach, and skillet potatoes and peppers!) and watching some shows in the DVR. I am still on the mend from the plague, so trying to rest and lay low after a full day in the office for me -- I'm beat!

Tomorrow, we are supposed to go out to lunch with J's mom and then to a big Target run to get some necessities (paper products, shampoo, dog treats -- the fun stuff). We are getting some snow over night tonight into tomorrow morning, and my MIL is nervous about this and frantically texting us about how this will impact our plans for tomorrow... I am hoping it is nothing and our plans remain as is. I do love a good Target trip, and after a week of being on the couch in sweats feeling really crappy, I really would like to be out and get some fresh air!

Sunday our only agenda item so far is grocery shopping. Probably some clean. Hopefully some rest and family play time. :)

  • Hopefully making some peace with the wife after a rather big to do over her mom being not so nice to me. It really hurt my feelings and I was feeling spiteful and made a fb post about having hurt feelings and that everything I do is for S and these boys and that maybe one YOU will see it too. Well I guess her mom figured out it was about her and now S is mad at me.

Her mom has been so weird since boys were born. Everybody is commenting on it. Idk what to do or say. I feel bad it hurt S, but not sorry for sticking up for myself. :/

Hopefully this weekend we will make peace with it all.

  • My weekend are def different than most. I'm working weekend nights right now so my days off are Sun-Wed. So on my days off we are celebrating my 30th birthday (jan 29) and although I'm sad I'm turning 30, I look forward to this year in hopes that I become a mother. We will be going to winstar (casino) and staying in the hotel on my actual birthday but the weeks after feb 2 we leave for Oklahoma and rented a cabin in the woods for some calamity and relaxation:) so I'm looking forward to that! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
  • My parents are in town, so Z and I met a couple friends out for a nice dinner. Winners all around. Get to see my parents, free child care, grandparents happy to spend time with grandchild (and vice versa). We don't go out often because adding $50-60 babysitter fee on top of dinner tab hurts a little too much.

We're headed out to breakfast with my parents spoon, then..., no plans!!!! Woohoo! Except I do want to spend our free time organizing, purging, and decluttering the house. It's getting out of control.

  • For us, this weekend is the first weekend of having people over to meet Baby K. Some friends and their one year old will be here any minute, my sister is coming tomorrow, and Monday afternoon (not really the weekend, but still...) another friend is coming over.

It's going to be pretty busy, but we are excited to begin introducing her to our little circle of family and friends.

    IUI #1 - November 2013 - BFN
    ICI #1 (home) - May 2014 - BFP!! Beta #1 - 5/30 - 164; Beta #2 - 6/6 - 4794!!!

  • Yesterday we put my van in the shop for a new starter - ouch.  In the evening we moved the carseats and all the baby stuff to EV's car (an event in itself). Then we went to go meet EV's youngest brother in Emeryville for dinner and a trip to Barnes & Nobles. He's 13 years younger than EV and we actually fostered him when we was younger, so it just blows my mind to see him as a grown "man".  It's weird that this transformation will one day happen to my own kids.

I spent last night and this morning putting together a proposal for a big May wedding.  I really hope we land the gig!!!  This afternoon I'll drag the kiddos to something fun and make dinner at home. I might end up taking myself to the movies tonight - but I've said that before and been too tired... We'll see. Either way I want some me time, even if its going to a cafe to read a book. I need to be aaaalllllooooonnnnneee  ;-)

Sunday I'm heading to a conference for work, while EV babysits and likely stresses me out with "stressed out texts" ;-)

  • Thank you for the birthday wish:)
