No real change from last week. Just waiting, large, anxious, etc. Maybe more anxiety when I don't feel him/her move as much though last night baby was uber active so that was good.
5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
If I am still pregnant, next appointment is Monday. I am going to insist they check me since they haven't so far. And they will also schedule an ultrasound next week to check fluid, growth, etc. Milestone: due date is tomorrow.

Hmm. Just one? DH never throws out the old K-cup - just takes it out and puts it on the counter next to the machine. Literally if he were to turn around - which he has to do to leave the kitchen he could throw it out! As for me annoying him - again I am sure lots of items - right now - probably the fact that I really don't like cleaning out the fridge of old food. When he travels he comes home and has to do it!

My glucose test came back normal. I had my annual employee health screening test (cholesterol, etc). My results were horrible. I told them flat out that I wasn't fasting because it is ridiculous to ask a pregnant woman to fast when they know that pregnancy makes your cholesterol high anyway. They said "ok. See you next year." Whatever.....

So many to choose from....Are we talking normally? Or specific during pregnancy? Long term? Or just lately? We get along, but we have pet peeves about each other.
My top complaint about him, right now, is that he has NO clue how long he takes to get ready in the morning. We had to have a nice long talk about it the other day. He told me it took him 30 minutes. After much prying, we determined that it takes him 30 minutes to shower, shave, and get dressed. Then he needs time to warm up his car, eat breakfast, etc. So he said, ok, give him 45 minutes. Ever since then, I've timed him. It takes him 10 minutes to crawl out of bed, pee, and brush his teeth. Then 30 minutes just in the shower. Then he goes back to bed (still not dressed) until I get out of the shower. Then he takes DS while I get dressed and do make-up. If I run 5 minutes late, it is suddenly MY fault that he's late. WTF???
He has no complaints about me. I'm perfect. :-)

I had my a/s this week and was soooo excited and anxious as it had been 7 weeks since my last appt. and I was 21 weeks along.
So, after waiting 1/2 hour, the front desk told me they had dropped the ball and didn’t realize I had a/s before my regular appt. It was the end of the day, so while they could squeeze me in, but the tech didn't know if she would have time to finish. That was devastating to hear, I was shocked and so close to breaking down in tears, but unfortunately I think I just came off as bitchy & impatient. (the tech actually gave me a little lecture at the end about how “people make mistakes.” I felt so bad... guess I might owe them a thank you note/cookies J )
Anyway, it all worked out, the tech was super cool and able to complete the scan. (Because, she’s awesome - no help from a super-squirmy baby). She almost instantly found the boy parts. (Seriously,SO fast, I swear the wand had barely touched my belly before she was like “there he is!”). Funny, but in that moment, it felt almost irrelevant - I was like OK, whatever, he has a penis but seriously, HOW IS HIS HEARTBEAT? Everything else looked good too - baby measured at 21w, 1d, which was exactly where I was at J

QOTW: Tell us about one thing you do that your SO finds annoying, and one thing your SO does that you find annoying. (If you are single, substitute your closest relationship.) Lately, everything annoys me! This morning I asked him to make sure he turned off the lights before coming downstairs. He gave me a look - do you think I'm stupid, of course I'll turn off the lights. 5 minutes later, I look upstairs, lights are on. So I sigh loudly and go up and turn them off. That annoyed me. And I'm sure me blowing it out of proportion annoyed him.

4. How are you feeling?
Still anxious waiting for my genetic testing results. I did get back the Spina Bifida results which put my AFP MOM at 1.52. All my research found that I was pretty much smack on in the middle of normal for that. Although it doesn't technically rule out chromosone issues, i read that low readings are indicitive of Downs and another trisomoy and high could indicate a trisomy. So the perfect middle of normal made me real hopeful. Tuesday will be 14 days since they drew blood so seriously..where are my results????
I have a pesky pinch in a nerve from my back down my leg. It ends at the bottom of my foot and if I arch my back it will send a shot of pain down my leg to my foot which will then sort of go tingly and numb. If I walk a lot it hurts all down my leg.
5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Milestone...I can feel baby move unmistakenably everyday many times a day now. Hard strong movements. Probably about a week now. Another thing that makes me hopeful as far as something being wrong with baby...its a strong baby who moves a lot. I would suspect good muscle tone and development.
QOTW: Tell us about one thing you do that your SO finds annoying, and one thing your SO does that you find annoying. (If you are single, substitute your closest relationship.) He over the past couple years has been so down that I am old and no longer attractive. I have had a lot of kids and although I really do take good care of myself, my body is not great looking anymore. He feels that he is still major awesome and has to stuck with an old woman. Does aging count as something annoying?
I get most annoyed by the fact that he does not help with the children at all. For example a typical Sunday a.m.. He gets up, takes a shower and gets dressed for church and sits in the living room playing games on his phone till its time to leave. I get up, shower, dress myself, get lunch put in the crock pot or ready for the oven when we get home, make breakfast for 7 children, get 7 children up. The oldest 2 dress themselves, of course. the next 2 oldest need everything laid out for them and then dressing supervision...to make sure they do it and they need assistance with shoe tying or dress shirt buttons etc. The rest need all out assistance. So I tag team them one after the other while the others eat. Then as they get done eating I get everyone cleaned up and teeth brushed etc. Get coats on everyone while I make sure my diaper bag is packed. I also try to throw a load or two of laundry in during that morning time since I have to do 7 or 8 loads a day everyday. my oldest daughter will help me a lot. Dh works on his subway surfer score. Seriously going on 8 kids and he has never changed a diaper.
My other big complaint is he uses his phone in the car all the time while driving. He texts, googles things, checks weather forecasts etc. I try to say that if he wants to do that when he is alone...thats up to him but I DO NOT want it done while my children are in the car. He refuses not to. Me driving is not an option either...he has to be in control. He says a decent driver can drive and do something else. Its idiot drivers that have the problem texting etc while driving.
2 - 37
3 - Madeline and Victoria, 5 yo twins from China, bunch of critters
4/5 - Stressed a bit, thanks to work. Government standard audit, but since I'm a training and compliance leader, I get a ton of work that must be done by X time. I know we're clear, but it's stressful still. Fun of working in pharmaceutical industry. But I am grateful for the audits. I don't want to be involved in the next thalidomide disaster, I am thankful it was stopped from establishing the nightmare here. I don't want to be allowed to do human experiments on people who aren't even asked to consent, which still goes on today. I want to charge everyone involved in the contaminated steroids to face federal homicide charges - everyone at the facility had to know it was wrong, but no one did a thing.
Baby wise - ultrasound wasn't with a good tech and doctor wants me back in. I am shall we say robust and tech told me I didn't need a full bladder, thus unclear scan. Dr thinks there's no NT or spinal concerns, but wants a better ultrasound. Which has made me very pukey. Again.
QOTW - My current frustration with DF is his constant need to put me on a guarded pedestal. His current frustration is my challenging his concerns. I am trying to get over my challenging him, I know he just adds more guards when I ignore his concerns. But I like hitting things with hammers - We just bought a house that needs two walls knocked out and he doesn't even want me in the place then. Never mind painting, I bought true zero VOC paints (Ace Hardware has a zero VOC paint AND their liquid coloring stuff is zero VOC also - go Team Shop Local) and primer, but he doesn't want me in for 14 days after they finish. So I get mad from it. Sigh.
Everyday frustration, why does he put the drink bottle that has maybe three drops left back in the fridge. That just makes me want to scream. But he's being fantastic now, baby loves juice so he keeps a full bottle for me and baby now.
I bug him because I will not snake the shower drain. It's disgusting. He swears it's not that bad. All four of us have long hair, yet right. Plus I'll scream if I see a roach.

5. Another appt with the perinatologist this week to check in on LO's heart arrhythmia. T&Ps please. He's an active little guy so hopefully that's a good sign. OGTT coming up, too.
QOTW: What isn't annoying me about my husband? Poor guy, I spend a lot of time annoyed with him while I'm pregnant. He's messier than me and that drives me nuts in many circumstances. He gets annoyed with me because he's an early person and I'm habitually making us leave 5 mins later than he wants. We're never late, just not as early as he prefers and it stresses him out.

I've been tired, exhausted, drained and any other synonym you can think of here. I think the anemia has me tired, but I take five 29mg iron pills every day + whatever is in my prenatal and it's keeping me borderline anemic and I refuse to take more b/c of the constipation I'm also dealing with - yeah, thanks! I've had pretty bad SPD or pelvic girdle pain, been doing PT for it for about 3 weeks now and I think it has helped some, but the exercises I do on my own really tire me out. I had the most killer headache Sunday night, finally broke down and took Tylenol at 4am and it finally went away (was almost migraine-like) AND having issues w/ high BP. OB calling it Unexplained Gestational Hypertension, b/c blood work & urine not showing any reason to have high bp! That's been going on for about 5 weeks now. So on meds for that. It hasn't been too fun here towards the end -- 50 days to go!
5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Next OB appt is this Friday, last time, @ 31 weeks, the baby was breech and OB mentioned that I'd most likely need a C-Section -- really? He doesn't have time to turn over the next 9 weeks?? I feel like he might be sideways now, so we'll see @ next appt. Had ultrasound last time also to make sure he was okay, he measured @ 33wks, estimated 4.5lbs, but we are tall people (I'm 5'11" & DH is 6"1'), so I thought maybe he's just tall? Big size + high BP + breech = c-section... OB said might have to schedule at ~38 weeks. We'll see! Our birthing class is Feb 7th, all-day Saturday class (8:30-5) which includes a tour! They said to bring floor mat & pillows, I'm not sure how I'm gonna get on the floor - we shall see!
QOTW: Tell us about one thing you do that your SO finds annoying, and one thing your SO does that you find annoying.
I over-analyze every argument we have, b/c I like to root out the issue and talk it through to hopefully avoid the same argument in the future, I hate conflict, so if we could avoid if possible, it makes me feel better (he says I beat the issue to death!). He forgets everything and asks me things multiple times, I hate repeating myself, so always having to remind him of things... I think my fuse during pregnancy is just a bit shorter than normal. I made him install an app on his phone that has reminders in it, so hopefully that'll help him more. (I specifically hate when he asks me several times why we had to buy something and why it was this/that much, he does the budget, but I feel like he's always questioning my purchases, but he probably just forgot why...).

Next appt 2/24. It will be my 28 week appt. getting my 1 hour glucose test. Fun times.
Rant - morning sickness just won't leave me alone. Still on zofran. Still vomiting everyday. I finally gained weight between 16-20 weeks. 5 lbs. but that was good. Then lost it all between 20-24 weeks. I just want to not feel nauseous all the time.
Rave - my hubby has been my rock.

I know! It seemed quite early for him to be making it seem like such a high possibility! He's just one of the OBs in my practice, I have to see them all in rotation -- my next appt is with MY OB again, so I will see what she says. She is definitely my favorite of all of them! I also have an US at the next appt, so we'll see if he's moved at all. Today I had different feelings in the belly, all the movements were vertical vs. sideways/down low kicks, I thought maybe he's trying to turn? Thanks everyone for the feedback about that!
