Intro Pregnant and 44!!

Hi all, just thought I would introduce myself. It's been a few years since I have posted. Last 3 pregnancies ended in Miscarriage. Pretty much gave up trying or even hoping for a child. Well, wouldn't you know, I couldn't remember if my period should be the 14th of this month or the 6th. Kept feeling like it was coming and nothing so I decided to have my other half grab me a pregnancy test to just to be sure. I was pretty sure it was just my body acting 44 and headed towards premenopause well, NOPE... I got a BFP and am thrilled though petrified. Had blood work the next day, HCG level was 5858. They said I could be anywhere for 3-6 weeks. Doctor started me on progestorone suppositories which will hopefully help this one stick!! Ultrasound and dr. appointment Monday 1/26. Just keeping my fingers crossed, taking it easy. Have no choice there really, as I slipped on ice Sunday and broke my foot!! God's way of making me slow down maybe?

Congratulations! Take advantage of that bum leg, I hope your other half is taking good care of you and the baby.  I had given up on anymore babies myself but DH surprised me and told me he wanted to give it a shot.

Congratulations! A BFP is much nicer then heading into menopauze What a wonderful surprise indeed. I'm a few years younger, 37, and 7w pregnant of our first. Fatigue is kicking my bum at the moment! Wishing you a speedy recovery with your broken foot but maybe it'll give you the oppertunity to rest up some while it's healing!
