Carseat switch

So who has already switched to a regular carseat? I am about to make the switch... the fun part? I have a 2 door Acura. Has anyone else tried to do the whole rear facing carseat in a 2 door before? Im not looking forward to this. What kind of carseat did you all get?

We just switched. I drive a Honda Element which is kind of like a two-door (hard to explain). I researched the Orbit and it doesn't get great reviews. There are no other similar options available in the US. I now have to climb into the backseat with baby in tow to get him in his new Chicco Nextfit. It's a BLAST, lemme tell ya.

@EmmaD312 yeah, sounds like what I will be doing. Luckily we have another car we call "the mommy car" I only have to get her in and out of the two door twice a week! I think I will wind up with the Chicco too, it seems smaller than the rest

Bought the chicco. With my gift registry rebate thing, 2 gift cards and the 25% off for trading in an old car seat, I only spent $50!

I got Chicco Nextfits but can't help you on the two door. Ours are both four.

I wish ours were both four! Its all sorts of fun climbing into the backseat just to seatbelt her infant seat in. Trying to put her into a rear facing car seat will be a freaking circus!

I did it with DD who is now 3 because my dad had a 2 door civic. Put LO behind the passenger or in the middle (for right handed people) that way you can kind of enter and swing in all in one motion haha. good luck! I have an alpha omega elite and a safety 1st complete air 65... both not recommended for your situation. the safety 1st has high sides and the AOE is tall tall tall so even in my SUV the seat gets pushed up.
