In the hopes of doing something that reminds me of what used to be "normal" here... UO anyone?

I think the excessive policing of the posts that might have been repeats or asked 3 weeks ago was too much.  I'm all for weeding out the idiots and trolls, but shaming someone for asking about GD tests outside of the GD threads or asking about diapers outside the 7 page weeks old diaper threads was too much.  The board was pretty stagnant because people felt like they weren't allowed to start new posts.

I've been on the baby boards since 2008 and this was by far the most restrictive post-starting environment I encountered in that time.

I loved the bump and our community and hate the changes, but that's hardly unpopular.

I actually look forward to sending DD to daycare.  Even when not pregnant.  I love her of course, but it's nice to get her out of my hair sometimes, and she has friends and stuff to play with there.  I don't know how her daycare provider has so much energy to take her outside all of the time, but I sure am grateful.  I couldn't be a SAHM.  Not saying there is anything wrong with it, just saying I have no idea how they do it...  They are twice the mom I am.

I completely agree with this. DD was up at 4am this morning and I was very happy to drop her off the minute the doors opened at 7am. I love her, but we both need our space.

My UO-- I think it is criminal that hospitals allow cord blood banks to advertise so much. The info packets are so biased! If everyone would just donate their cord blood and register to be bone marrow donors, we would have plenty of stem cells to go around. Banking it is betting on a technology that isn't here without supporting it's development.

I could have posted this below, but I want to support the return to normalcy.

You're right about one thing, that IS an unpopular opinion. I just don't see what the point of people sticking around if they dislike the way this board is ran so much. I'll never understand that. Find somewhere else to go, no one is forcing you to be here..

On mobile I can't see any profile pictures.

My unpopular opinionI, I don't see the point of 3D or 4D ultrasounds. Why do you need to see what the babies face looks like now, it might look completely different when they come out. The main things I want to know about the baby is what color hair he has or what color his eyes are and those aren't determined by those ultrasounds. So many people have asked if I'm going to get one and I keep saying no.

I find that the "mean girls" on here are by far the more intelligent of the group. Maybe being smart means a low tolerance for bullshit & stupidity.

I feel sorry for the children of those who have very poor grammar & haven't learned how to use google. How will they ever cope with common core math and teaching their LO to spell?

One reason I've considered getting the 3D ultrasound is fear of another loss. The closer I get to my due date, the more afraid I'm starting to feel. I recognize that it's kind of irrational because I have no reason to think I'll have a late term loss. Still, I'm tempted to see my son's face this time, since I didn't get that far the first time. I probably won't do it because I'm trying to have faith and the money is obviously better spent on what my baby will need when he gets here.

I can't lie, I can't grasp common core math for the life of me. I feel like it makes things so much harder than they should be. But I suck at math anyway. Lowest scoring ACT subject :-<
