37 day 1 Cervix

Just out of the OB and my cervix is still closed!! I go back on Monday to see where I am at. I might be heading for a induction if it is still closed Monday. He said if it looks like my cervix is getting ready they may let it go. Has anyone had this happen?

I think I was 1/2 cm dilated at 37 weeks.  By 38 weeks I was 2 cm and they induced me.  My OB would have let me go to 39 weeks but I had pre-clampsia/high blood pressure and it was getting worse.

Unfortunately my induction did not work and I ended up with a c-section.  

Is there a reason you have to be induced?  Does your OB want twins out by a certain point?

No preclampsia or high blood pressure, but they only want me to go no longer then the end of 38 weeks. If I was dialting he said he might let me go to 39 weeks.

I am at the hospital now for the non stress test and BPP. The machine picked up a few small contractions that I am not feeling. I guess I will be waiting this out!

Sorry I am pretty much the opposite- I always dialate early- though with my daughter that meat i went 2 weeks early, I went 5 days late with my son. Now I am at least a 3 and effaced 80% but I still think I could make my induction date.  These babies sure come when they want!

@abseptember‌ yep! Still hanging in there. My husband is more impatient then me though. I am trying to button up some things around the house, so I don't mind them hanging inside a bit linger. . I will update on Monday.
