TB says I might be showing at 10weeks?!

Whaaaaaaaat???

I've seen the diagrams... I've read books and the Internet... All says no until 12 weeks but here on TB I was reading my weekly info and it says I could notice a bigger belly?!

I literally laughed out loud when I saw this because we have threads and threads full of this question and our science based replies, yet TB says that science is wrong?!

See attachment. I'm on mobile and it's hard to post pictures.

  • Loading the player...
  • I hear ya! My mother in law keeps trying to touch my belly and I keep turning away telling her it's not the baby yet. I really don't want people touching my bloat baby.

  • Every person is different. When I do my home dropper I can feel the top of my uterus already and that is where I hear the heart beat. Not every persons uterus or body is exactly the same. I have been this way since 10 weeks and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I'm now 11 weeks and 2 days.
  • Dipper not dropper
  • @YogiKC0519‌ although not necessary I found it entertaining and thought others might too. In addition, I thought it may be nice to add a little levity to such a common topic.

Trust me, I know I'm not showing and so does everyone else who have done their due diligence and read about pregnancy.

  • I have a serious belly already, but this is my third (and my abs are shit from my second kid). But I had a goodly amount of bloat by the end of the day w my first, at any rate.

  • I'm 11w5d, My belly has been bigger for weeks due to bloat and constipation. It must be referring to that. My DH keeps rubbing my belly and telling me I'm showing. I'm like nope, it's a poop baby!
This. The Bump is referring to bloat. It IS funny that it would say that.

    Nvr mind.
  • @kcebeling‌ I just got "totes" out of my head after it was used in the other thread. I was saying it all day to myself...
    Thanks. Lol.
  •  10 weeks- Ive had bloating to where my jeans wouldn't fit one day, but the next back to normal.... thank goodness that stopped. Now Im 13 and its been no real body change just a bit of a jelly belly.
  • I was fairly lean pre pregnancy, and there's no denying I can see and feel a difference in my body. If my uterus is the size of a grapefruit this certainly explains the change. I can notice first thing in the morning when I wake up. I am a nurse and I've noticed some women who are small framed or lean definitely pop a little within the first ten weeks.
  • I am very very tiny and first thing when I wake up I notice a small bump. It's ever so slight, but it's there. 10 weeks 2 days.
  • For the love of god, someone please post the diagram. I beg you!!!!!
  • I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and have a teeny bump. It fluctuates throughout the day with bloat and gas but it's definitely there. Also a diagram is just a frame of reference. Every woman is different. So hop off your high horse ladies.

FYI, bloat and gas is not a bump.

And I like the view from up here, thank you very much.
  • OK @cowboys2009‌ you must know everything. I hope to be a little bump brat one day too 8->

    1. At 12 weeks your uterus should be out from behind your pubic bone. So you should have a "teeny bump" at this point.

    2. If the diagram doesn't mean anything, why do OBs measure fundal height?

Ps before you start accusing people of being on a high horse maybe you should take a look where you're sitting. That was quite an accusatory tone you took.

  • And for the record I posted this as a haha not to insight a riot about bumps. I don't really care if you think you're showing I only care that the "am I showing" post has been posted entirely too many times.
