I'm not going to start to try until 2 or later. With a new baby coming in a few weeks, we are leaving it alone for now. He does tell us when he has gone though which is step one I suppose!

I voted SS. We bought DS a potty for Valentine's Day but it's more just to introduce it to him. I don't plan to really PT until DC is ready since he's there 3 days/week.

LO has a potty. The day she turned 19 months she peed on it for the first time. She was then using it 1-2 times per day. Then she developed the stomach bug and a cold and hasn't wanted to use it since. I figure we will reintroduce when she has fully recovered.

I had plans to start next summer but a little over a month ago (when A was almost 18 months) she started obsessing about pee and poo and would start saying it before she went then trying to take her diaper off as soon as she was done. She had been letting me know when she went for a while but it became more serious. She started waking up dry from naps and my mother let her try my nieces potty. She liked it, mainly the attention I think.

I put SS because I have gone out of my way to try to slow her down. I was really busy in December and then we moved but she wouldn't stop so I finally gave in. She would keep saying pee pee pee until I brought her. She has Elmo underwear that she loves and she regularly goes pee and poo in the potty during the day. At night she will either wake to go or if she is having a great sleep she sill go in her diaper. She usually will wake dry or if she is left without a diaper to sleep she might dribble a bit which wakes her enough to go to the potty.

I am honestly not ready. She is still young and I would have preferred to wait until she was older so it would be done in a few days. I didn't want to outright discourage her so I am letting her lead but I certainly did not want to push it. I feel strongly that kids who are a bit older do better and do it more quickly. I won't call her potty trained because she isn't night trained and if we go to the store she wears a diaper. (although she still warns me when she needs to pee)

EDIT I hate the way some people see this issue. It means nothing but there is so much pressure around it for some people. I don't mind diapers, they are convenient and easy.

We introduced the potty at 1 year.  Since then I would just stick him on the potty every night before and after his bath.  Just to get him used to it.  Now for the past two months he has been using the potty every morning and evening.  On my days off with him I will stick him on the potty at each diaper change.
I'm not forcing it and we are just taking it one day at a time.  For him it is routine that is why I'm slowly adding the potty to different parts of his daily routine so he just knows it is time to "pee on the potty".

I did just buy him a couple pairs of underwear and tested them out last night and we went through both pairs in a 20 min span haha  My H was mortified that pee got on the floor lol

We have a potty at home and at FIL's (he does her daytime care). For the last two weeks, she just sits on it a few times a day. She's peed in it 3 times at FIL's, but never at home.

I have no expectations for getting her trained anytime soon, just familiarizing her with it at this point.

We have the potty out, and he loves to sit on it, both clothed and unclothed, but he has yet to pee in it or anything.  I'm not really pushing the issue. I'm sure when he's ready, he'll go.

We're not actually trying to potty train, but we got a potty because my son was holding his poop when he had a diaper on. He was chronically constipated and pooping was like an hour-long, clearly painful ordeal, so we got the potty right after Christmas to see if it would help, and it really has! he has only pooped in a diaper once since we got it. He peed in the potty once while trying to poop and learned the word "pee." He sits on the potty throughout the day in his clothes and carries it around saying "potty, potty."

We have a potty out but she isn't really interested in it. She likes the big potty, and lately she has been telling me when she poops and she will go hide. She tries to wipe herself when I change her, so I think at around two we will start more but right now we are just going with the flow.

We are doing what I would call "getting familiar with the potty."  LO definitely knows when she poops and tells us sometimes.  A few weeks ago she started talking about the potty and asking to use the potty.  So we bought potties.  She loves them and wants to sit on them all the time but sometimes only for a few seconds.  She has peed on the potty a few times but honestly I think it's just luck, I don't think she has real awareness of needing to pee yet.  Sometimes she sits on the potty with clothes/diaper on, sometimes with diaper off.  She hasn't pooped on the potty yet.  For now we're just casual about it, not trying to get her to sit or go at certain times or anything.

We have a potty for him that is in the bathroom. I would like him potty trained by 3-3.5 so he can go to preschool. Since he isn't showing a lot of signs of being ready, I don't mind putting it off for a bit.

We have a potty and very recently he has started sitting on it rather than picking it up and throwing it. I consider that progress. I'm in no hurry but I'd love to potty train fully by October, when #2 is due, because it would be nice to only have one in diapers full-time.

We put her on the potty every night just to make her comfortable with it and she actually even went #1 in it once but that's about it for us so far. I plan to really get into it when she turns 2.
