Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

4 days post D&C

today is day 4 since having my D&C done. Everything went really well and I felt pretty good after surgery. I hadn't had any pain until last night. I'm now having quite a bit of discomfort and keep getting light headed and kinda clamy. I don't have a fever but I just feel awful. I read that day 3-4 can be worse than immediately following surgery. Any one else deal with being light headed? im staying hydrated and making sure I'm eating.

Re: 4 days post D&C

  • I am sorry you are feeling "off". I have no experience with D&C's but I did get light headed and kind of felt the same way you're describing after my natural MC in April. Mine was due to blood loss so I am not sure if our experiences are the same.

Have you looked at the advice and experience board to see if anyone has mentioned it? I know when I felt weird I called my Dr to let them know.

I hope you feel better soon *hug*
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • I felt the worst 3 days after my d&c. I never got light headed though, I hope you're better soon!

  • We must have had our procedures on the same day - I am also day 4 and I feel fine, just....off.  Crampy in odd ways, and tired.  But no blood since the procedure.  Not a drop.  It's actually a bit unnerving.
  • I was told no bleeding was normal too. So try not to worry , I've barely had any myself and haven't even needed a pad even though I've been wearing one just incase :).... I talked to my dr and they said light headed could be from the general anesthesia working its way out of my system. She said it could take up to a week.
