post pregnancy belly wraps

I went to Babies R Us for the first time yesterday. I know I should have been there long ago but my reasons stemmed from a long lived hatred of the store because of my difficulty conceiving. Anyways, I saw a bunch of the belly wraps for after baby gets here. I understand the purpose but do they actually work? Is this a necessity for after my LO arrives? Should it be on my registry?

Just checked, it's still on the first page but the poster referred to it as a girdle. There were some good responses.

Thank you. I'm usually pretty good at looking back and searching and what not. I guess my pregnancy brain was thrown off by girdle. Hate that pregnancy brain! I'll go check it out.

Tell me about it! I actually feel stupid on some days! And so forgetful! I know the etiquette of the board and follow it by searching for previous posts before I start something new. I remembered I had a question about those things and just jumped right in like a newbie without lurking!
