Always wanted 4-5. SO always just shakes his head in dispare. When we are buying things now (like the travel system etc) I always say "it's an investment and will be worth the money when it's been used with all 5" and he just says "let's just have this one first and see!"
DH is one of 4, and has great siblings, so he keeps saying he wants 4 kids. I was one of 2- which I think is a good number. Depending on how my body and mind react to bringing a child into this world, I am sure we'll settle somewhere in the middle with 2 or 3
If money were no object, I'd have my own show on TLC right after the Duggars- Too many kids and counting. I think we'll cap it off at 4, but I wouldn't be sorry to have a surprise 5th. This is my 3rd, so maybe I'll change my mind once I'm outnumbered.
If I could get H on board, I'd love 3. He wants to stay at 2. I only had 1 sib and he had 4 growing up. We both treasure what the opposite had. Although I'm not overly ambitious about how I will feel about another after we hit 2.
Even if I had endless resources, it's two at the most. Maybe if we lived on some kind of magical planet where overpopulation could never remotely be a problem, I would consider a third.
3. I want three so bad but MH wants 2. We got started late so who knows. But I am am only child and was always so lonely so I know we will go for at least 2. Since we know we will have to do IVF part of me just wants to transfer 2 next time and see what happens--if we end up with twins, great. If only one sticks, fine. I'll likely be 37 so I can't see doing 3 pregnancies.
But if age and finances were not a factor, 3. Seems like just the right amount of beautiful chaos

Before having kids, I always used to say I wanted 7, DH wanted 3. After DS, I said 2-3 max and DH said he would have as many as we could! If money were no object and we could hire lots of help, I think we would have 4 or 5. As it is, we will probably stop at 3. This pregnancy has been harder than the last and DH is worn out with doing more than his fair share while I puke my guts out and lay in bed. Our DS was a colicky baby and is a crazy active hyper almost 3 year old, so I am hoping #2 will be more chill. If not, 2 may be it for us! Buy I do love the idea of a big family, being a grandma surrounded by lots of kids and grand kids one day, so we'll see.
Before we had our first I always said I wanted 5. I'm #3 of 5 and I loved having all y siblings. So I wanted that for my kids. My hubs always said 2-3. So we agreed we would just wait and see how we felt. Well after we had DS1 I changed my mind. 3 was going to be my limit. And DH agreed. After we had baby #3 (our first DD) DH decided 5 was his number. And I refused. Let's just say God apparently agrees with my Hubs b/c I'm currently expecting #5.... I think even if we money were no problem we are both finally in agreement that no more! We are FINISHED after this one.
Age is the big one for me, and money of course, but I'd ideally like 3. This is #2 and I'm 31. DH says he's done after this one and I'm kind of with him, but not ready to be done for sure, so we'll see. DH is adopted and we have always seriously considered adoption for our 3rd or 4th child.
Undecided! This will be 2, which I had always thought would be perfect, but we will have to see how it goes after he's born. Right now, I'm certainly open to 3. I think 4 might be more than we can handle
I'd love to have 4-6...but I'd have to add in if I wasn't so sick while I was pregnant to the list of money and fertility weren't factors. This is #3 for us and I'd like 1 more but convincing (aka begging) DH to get on board with #3 took 4 years we will see about #4.
