DD has recently stopped sleeping well at night. She is waking up every 2 hours crying. A bunch of people suggested using mylicon because it might be gas that is waking her. However, our pedi said that mylicon really doesn't work. Who to believe? Arghh!
Re: Does Mylicon work?
I'd like to add that gripe water helps a lot. So, if Mylicon doesn't work for you, you might try it.
I think it does. DS used to twist and turn in his sleep and then wake himself because he passed gas so hard. Since I started Mylicon it is much less frequent. Oh, and a tip if you don't already have any - I've discovered the Target brand is much cheaper than any other I've found yet - costs 1/3 of what brand name does. (haven't checked Walmart, I'm sure it's comparable)
I also use Target brand and it is soooo much cheaper. I checked the back of just about every gas relief brand and they all have exactly the same ingredients.
I feel like it works a little bit for DS, but that it might work better if I use it more often. Even if it doesn't work, it makes me feel better because I'm feeling like I'm doing something.
