So the husband and I can't decide on our little's middle name. He wants one and I have my heart set on the other. It will either be: Aubree Marie -or- Aubree Makenna
Dude. What is with everyone tonight?? A bunch of pissed off mommas.... Go take a nap or something. The title was more of a suggestion.. If you all actually think that I'm going to base my child's name solely on what random strangers think, then you're sadly mistaken. My husband an I just wanted outsiders opinion. @redneckmomma25 I comment quite often, never had a need to create my own discussion till now however. But I'm so glad you're on the welcoming comity.. You're doing a great job(not).
Yes.. Committee... I love autocorrect on iPhones too. Fucks sake. Y'all have fun talking shit. I'm out. Wayyyyyy better places with less bitchy people. Have fun if that's what you're into.
MaKenna is a real name. It's active as an Irish first name and also a surname in Africa. I only know this because it's my niece's name.
That being said, it's Aubrey, not Aubree. Why the hell can't people just spell a name right? And Aubree MaKenna is a no. Aubree Marie is too eeeeee-ish for my taste, and that's coming from someone whose parents did it to her.

Yes we are into having fun. You are into annoying strangers and screwing up the spelling of your kids name. I picture her in 10 years wanting to buy a pencil with her name on it thinking "for fucks sakes mom learn how to spell!"

Or gunning for a promotion in 30 years and her boss wondering why her parents didn't just spell it aubrey...
How ever you want to name your child is your decision. I always think to myself, someday when they are receiving mail, if I spell my child's name like this how often will it be spelled wrong. Then I search GOOGLE and look for the correct spelling and decide on that I personally would go for Aubrey Marie since your asking us strangers.
Op, we are not being rude, but like in the sticky at the top of or a15 group, the search function will be your best friend as well as the baby names board. Then again I am not sure what threads got deleted when the bump admin. Cleaned house.

There is no sticky. And speak for yourself, because I was being rude as sometimes it's warranted.
Your right, they removed the "new here, read me first" sticky thingy
To me something doesnt sound right with aubree marie, could be the names ending with the same sound, or just how it looks written. That being said my votes on Marie! Makenna sounds like an odd name for a little girl ( too harsh maybe?) and doesn't read well.
OP - if you and your husband want an outsider's perspective on your name choices, wouldn't it make the most sense to ask the people in your life that actually know you and will eventually see your baby, not a bunch of random other pregnant women online who are trying to decide what to name their own children?
I suggest going to the baby names board but be warned they might tell you Aubrey is a boys name. It's traditionally a boys name that has turned to a girl name in the US. I remember reading a post about it months ago. I think Marie sounds better than Makenna.

The title was not a suggestion, that would have looked more like "need name advice" or "need suggestions". "You decide" is a command.
And, I'm not "sadly" mistaken. If you think I'll cry myself to sleep if you don't name your crotch fruit Gertrude Muriel, you're sadly mistaken.
I personally love the name Aubree. It's my daughters name as well. I've seen it spelled Aubree just as many as I have seen Aubrey. I am sorry I don't think either Makenna or Marie go great with it. It is a hard name to find a good middle name! But I am sure what ever you choose will be great!
It never even occurred to me to ask a bunch of strangers, who don't give a shit, what to name my baby. I'll have to try that next time since my DH and I managed to name this one all by ourselves.
Re: You decide
