Of course this has to happen as we've all dissolved. I think this board was VERY supportive and I'm needing it now!
I went in for a non-diagnostic ultrasound at 32 weeks, and they said the fluid looked low, so we kept an eye on it. Wednesday I went in to make sure everything was ok and unfortunately it wasn't. The fluid (despite my best efforts) hadn't increased much and her growth haas stalled at about 32 weeks. Her heart rate and activity look good, but she's tiny. My biggest concern is her lung development and the doctors have no clue where it could be at. I was planning a home birth and am ending up needing a c-section this Wednesday. I'm FTM scared/frustrated/anxious and miss my vipers.
Re: Well, guess it's my turn to ask for Ts&Ps...
IVF FET - BFP, due April 2017
I know how committed you were to a home birth without interventions and drugs, so this must be quite a disappointment. I kind of thought of us as a bit of a team since we were both doing the home birth thing, so I really do empathize. Sorry.
And worrying about the growth and development of your LO is terrifying.
I guess the only solace I can offer is to say to try to focus on the skills and strengths of your hospital care team. They're well prepared and have many successes in helping babies flourish and they'll do everything for your LO. Modern medicine is a miracle and it has and will be there for you and your LO.
You've done a great job growing that baby, momma! I'm not a person of religious faith but I was raised with religion and know how to pray so I'll make an exception and send my typical good wishes *and* a special prayer for you and your LO!
Good luck! I'll be thinking of you! Please be sure to keep us updated!
I have the same issue going on now. I was admitted 2 weeks ago for low fluid. Did your doctor mention possibly staying 24-48 hours in L&D for IV fluids? Do you have a leak? Did they mention the steroid shot to develop the baby's lungs?
It can be rough but try to stay positive and keep drinking lots of water! If you don't feel your baby move make sure you call or go to l&d immediately. Don't question it since the fluid is low.
Just some things from my experience 2 weeks ago! Keep us updated? I'll keep you in my prayers.

You are your daughter are in my prayers, I'm looking forward to an update telling us that she is a strong fighter! Lots of hugs
Good luck on Wednesday and please update as you can! Is your LB still around? This is the time to put her on call!
We'll continue to send you happy thoughts and our fingers and toes are crossed for you and your little!
My heart is so heavy for you. I can only imagine the fear, disappointment and worry you must be feeling. I am thankful that they found the issue when they did and that you LO is still looking healthy even if she is small.
I totally understand going through a type of mourning over the loss of your birth plan. It's really hard to feel like you've lost control over something that is so important to you.
All I can say is that I agree with pps in that intentionally setting your mind on the positives is the best thing to do. Every time you feel pulled into fear or disappointment, stop and be thankful for getting to carry her for as long as you have, or that they found the problem when they did, or that we have the knowledge and technology we do know to really help you LO once she is here.
I don't know if you're religious or not, and I don't mean to offend at all, but it would be my privilege to pray for you and your little girl. I've found such a peace and strength during trials that I can only attribute to knowing The Lord and I will be praying for that same peace and strength for you.
Keep us updated. Hang in there!
Thoughts and prayers for easy delivery.good luck
