  • I'll play! DH and I have his "holiday" party for work tonight. It's more of a post holiday party since it is so late. I'm excited for it because it means I don't have to cook tonight.

  • I asked my midwife for suggestions about how to relieve the soreness between my ribs where Little Man has kicked the area raw (or so it feels).  I was not interested in Tylenol because I feel like it does nothing.  She suggested a warm washcloth over the area.  I did that and OMG.  I fell asleep five minutes later and had the best sleep ever.
I'm going to have to try that. When DS go under my ribs, friends told me to put a cool compress there and he would move. I tried, and it worked, but I don't really know if he could "feel" the coldness, if that makes sense. I could see how the warm would be comforting to you...

  • Picked up my breast pump today, everything is washed in nursery, & packing my hospital bag tonight..eek! Happy Friday everyone
  • My stretch marks have reached a new level of miserable. They're incredibly swollen and extremely itchy. I called asking if I could use cortisone cream, my doctor told me no :( Stuck using cold compresses and lotion. Which isn't really helping

  • Non stress test today and OB appt to discuss when the twins are being cut out of me. Then home to put these cankles up.
  • I ordered my birthing kit and birth pool is being dropped off today. I bought a few bins to organize the stuff, mainly hide the stuff. I don't want the pool staring at me for the next few weeks. Also if I hear, wow you're ready to pop one more time..I'm gonna pop you in balls. Ha.

  • @junebugjam‌ I also have a three day weekend! So excited.
  • Had my 36 week appt today. Last appt I talked to the OB about being concerned about the baby's size, this appt the (different) OB made a comment about how "she's definitely not a small baby". At my growth scan she was measured in the 78th percentile. So my next appt (which will actually be at 38 weeks) we're doing another sono to check her size again. Everyone seems to be pretty confident she's going to be around nine pounds, hopefully no bigger than that.

  • Well, you can add me to Team GBS positive. I'm not so much worried as I am surprised, since I was negative with DD1. Oh well. I'm sure all will be fine.

I finally ordered grandpa's pine tar soap and it really has helped. The cortisone cream I was prescribed by my doctor for PUPPPs did nothing so you aren't missing out there. But I do suggest the soap. It has been a tremendous help.

  • @babybravesfan where did you order that from? I only have just over 2 weeks left, I wonder if I'd even get anything in time if I ordered anything online

  • @racheltherose I ordered mine from lucky vitamins I think was the name of it and paid for fast shipping bc the itching was so bad. Some GNC stores or other heath stores carry them as well. I felt relief after about 2 days of using it. Smells awful but feels so wonderful on itchy stretch marks! Try looking to see if any stores near you sells it!

  • Well today has been rough so far. Lack of sleep and the aches and pains are just getting worse. When I finally start falling asleep my pups think it's a good idea to start playing. Gah!! I love them but I can't wait for them to get a little older so they calm down a bit.

Everything is so different here!  What happened?  What did I miss???  **Update** WTF!!!  Reading threads now...

There was a recall on the mattresses due to a gap in between mattresses and cribs… seems like a common sense to me but figured I'd pass the info along (unless someone else already did?)

Someone's got to populate each part of the percentiles and 78th doesn't sound too bad. Nine pounds is considered a normal size baby here and 7-8 pounds is considered small. Plus the estimates in the late 3rd trimester can be really inaccurate. edited because TB posted before I was done typing.
Wow, I've never thought of 7-8 pounds as small. :) I'll admit that I'm probably overreacting, I was 10 pounds 10 ounces when I was born, and my mom had to have a c-section after pushing for two hours. So I'm just scared I'm going to go through the same ordeal.

@srcr2011 good luck with the work load. Are you finishing soon or working till you pop?
I had a deadline today, given today. It was humanly impossible to meet. Whatever. There is always Tuesday (I'm off Monday). I am going to work until I pop. I would rather spend my time with her, than sitting at home waiting for her. Thanks for the luck. I have 4 more weeks until my EDD and so much to do.

  • I am so glad this week is over. I have 2 weeks of work to go and its 2 weeks too long.

Also, this new bump sucks. Am I allowed to say that? Or do I have to say that everything is awesome? I have been over on proboards too but I am still on a learning curve with that forum. Sigh...

OK, so I forgot which board I was lurking on, but bumpmay said the stuff is just new guidelines on how to post, not really TOU, but who know...

I'm still learning too. The stupid on TB has me somewhat entertained though. I was called rude lol

I was 10lbs 10oz too!! My very petite mother did not have a c-section, and to this day shows me all of her stretch marks and let's me know I did that (even though I have a 9lb sister and a 9lb brother).

I have a growth ultrasound in two weeks. At the anatomy scan she was in the 99th percentile. Hopefully she won't be quite as big as me and @dacora‌ ;)

My doula suggested taking the pump to the hospital and asking the lactation consultant how to use it. She says you may walk out with extra spare parts, as when they use them to show you how it's done they can't reuse them.

  • Hey ladies! Happy weekend!

So ready to be done with pregnancy. Everything hurts. OB is thinking baby girl is going to be long. Aaaand she still seems to be breech. At 36 week appt we will have a sono to see if she has turned/still has room to turn. If not, looks like we will be scheduling a c section. If so, I'm getting my tubes tied! I do not feel like being pregnant again. 3 girls will be enough for me. DH is in agreement. Not to mention, i am feeling every one of the 10 years between my last pregnancy and this one.

I'm really not feeling THAT negative. Just getting all that off my chest.

Actually, the last couple of days I've had some energy and done some nest-y stuff. I vacuumed out the van, installed the carseat base, and sterilized some binkies. My girls were quite interested in the Binky sterilization! We all stood watching the binkies boil. Yes, we are nuts. And really, she is kid #3, so she will likely get the whole "binky dropped on the ground? Wipe it off and stick it back in mouth" thing. Let's be real here.
