  • I've wanted to love every one of your posts today just for the image of cookie monster chucking out vegetables.  This seemed to be an appropriate place to express my appreciation-- as I have a "nursing smoothie" that is primarily ice cream, chocolate, & PB. ;)

Haha.  I was more about the fudge than the cookies, and I decided ice cream was medically necessary for my reflux in 3rd tri.

This is the basic recipe I adapted https://www.eatcraftparent.com/2014/05/chocolate-peanut-butter-banana-lactation-smoothie/ -- but I don't use yeast and I use ground flax (body absorbs it better) and I use ice cream instead of ice. :)

ETA: I accidentally gave myself oversupply problems with zealous pumping and modified the recipe to add more calories because I was too busy/tired to eat and worried I wasn't eating enough to keep up my milk supply... now I am down to an excess of 6oz a day but haven't really thought about changing back to the recipe...

yum. this is perfect for your extra caloric needs. not sure how i could justify it..  i have to be burning some calories holding that bottle up for hours every day, right?

To say nothing of hauling them around in the car seat! Seriously though, if you don't need help making milk, skip the oats, they make the whole thing grainy.
