CT or VQ Scan

Hi ladies I have been going through alot during this pregnancy I am 21 weeks a d have already gotten 1 ct scan and 1 vq

I am scared have any of u other mothers had to go through this? Should I be worried

Your doctors must have thought that the benefits outweighed the risks of the procedures. Please contact them for medical advice regarding your situation. Even if we have had similar procedures, it does not mean that the outcome will be the same for you and your baby.

Doctors are way more cautious with pregnant ladies they wouldn't do it if they didn't want to

Docs usually go with the VQ over the CT in pregnant women although that test can take longer to get done in an emergency situation so it depends on what's going on. Either way it's a matter of the benefit outweighing the risk. I have seen a lot done in Preg women in the ER and most docs are more comfortable with ordering the VQ.
