With my DS, my now DH told his mom she looked between us got up and slapped him in the face! We were both shocked to say the least. Once the shock wore off she way excited. They'll either come around or you'll have to brush them off. Hopefully they come around though. GL
My mother died when I was a little girl and I was raised by my aunt. My brother and his wife just had twins and my little sister just gave birth to a beautiful boy. Still I had some worry telling my aunt. I am 30 yrs old and have been engaged for 4 years and in June we started planning our wedding for May. We found out we were pregnant the day after Christmas and I am over the moon about it. I waited 3 weeks to tell my aunt and actually had nightmares about it(several in which she told me to abort and that it was horrible). I spoke to my 2 sisters and they told me I probably would not like her reaction. When I told her she looked angry and said she would "try" and be supportive but that she wasn't really happy for me( yes she actually said that). She told me I was doing everything out of order and it just wasn't the way things were supposed to be done. I am 30 yrs old and have been with my fiancé for 8 years. We already own a home and are doing well, how is it fair that she is treating my like I am 14 yrs old and a disgrace? To top it all off, she retired to take care of the twins and told me she wouldn't help at all with my baby!!
