I did acupuncture all throughout my pregnancy including leading up to delivery.
It is very relaxing for me. The needles don't hurt at all and you forget all about them. I went for several treatments in a row once I reached my due date. Unfortunately it didn't put me into labor, my body really just wasn't ready.
I won't hesitate to go again in the future. And it's definitely worth a try. Can't hurt, but like other natural labor inducers, it will likely only work if your body is ready.

I have also done it at 39 weeks ( this week) I am going for two more session next week. I will be over 40 weeks.
1. It only pricked to have the needles set and then there was no sensation. (this is a big deal for me cause I hate needles)
2. IT WAS very relaxing I fell asleep sitting up in like 10 mins. I have had much better sleep for the past couple of nights, twice have not gotten up once to pee. I am sleeping really well.
3. I have obviously not gone in to labor from it, but my Dr. said its more effective if your body is ready to go into labor..hence recommendation is usually after your 40 weeks.
4. As stated before i will be doing it again, I will hopefully be telling you that I am going into labor next week. OH, I also will have my session before my next OB appt so I will ask to get checked to see if my dilation changed from this week.
I'm mobile, so.I didn't get a notification. I did acupuncture with both of my pregnancies. Both times I went into labor within 24 hours of having it done.
I like getting acupuncture. It's relaxing. You barely feel the needles. I highly suggest it.
