Bump dropped?

hey! I am 34+4 days pregnant with my first child and my bump has definitely dropped, really panicking because I'm having back pain, I'm constantly needing a number 2 (TMI sorry!) but they aren't loose just normal but more frequent, I have a pain which comes & goes near the bottom of my bump & I'm really struggling to sleep. I went into early labour at 26 weeks but the midwives were able to stop it so I feel like I'm panicking more than I should, but could this mean my bubba comes early? Thankyou!

I don't think the bump dropping is a big deal. DD dropped a couple weeks ago and is still in there. The back pain and potty could be signs of labor or could just mean that you are very pregnant. I think with the combination I would call the doctor just to be on the safe side.

The back pain and potty problems are a common late pregnancy symptom. I've got the same stuff going on and have for the past week or two (I'm 38 weeks today) I think your baby is just sitting lower and putting for strain on your back and bowels but I understand being worried with your past scare at 26 weeks.

Give your midwives a call.

If you're "really panicking", then you shouldn't bother with online forums and call your doctor/midwife ASAP.  That's what I do when I'm concerned about the health and well-being of my child.

Thankyou for all the polite replies, I'm only 22 and it's my first child I have no clue what I'm doing & don't appreciate rude replies. Ruined this site completely for me now. I just wanted some advice, not sarcastic replies. But thanks to all who did give genuine advice!

Trying to make someone feel stupid by attaching GIFS to the feed is extremely rude. I know what I need to do if I'm worried, I've never left anything without calling my doctor and she has also said that this is probably just the effects of the baby dropping, which is what a couple of users suggested it might be. I've seen some horrendous comments by users on other feeds being unnecessarily rude to people who have asked questions which obviously everyone is just SUPPOSED to know. Il admit I don't know what I'm doing half the time it's my first pregnancy I can be forgiven for that but I don't need stuck up mums thinking they're better than me because I asked a question they deemed stupid

I'm a first time mom too, so don't use that as an excuse.  If you're genuinely concerned, do not pass go, do not collect $300 (Monopoly anyone?) and CALL YOUR DOCTOR.  You're paying them way too much money to bother with coming here and soliciting free advice from internet strangers.

Sorry, OP, NOT AN EXCUSE! First of all, the replies were not rude in any way, form, or fashion. We all responded within the TOU (I even quoted a small piece for you). Second, when I was a FTM and had any concerns, I called my OB!! You can also go to this place, called a library, and you can check out pregnancy books. Books can really help you out. Coming to a forum to ask such a question probably wasn't the smartest thing. As a PP mentioned below,..

Sorry you didn't get the answers you were looking for. As a STM to a FTM, please, please call your dr. Don't ask us medical questions or if your "bubba" will come early.

thousands of woman have babies and there are a lot on this site. No need to be so god damned rude when someone was just asking for a bit of advice from someone who may have gone through the same thing. Eh, must be an American thing.

No need to report, I've already decided to take myself off this site. Shouldn't ask a question to be made to feel like a complete moron and like I'm going to be a bad mother because the doctor wasn't rung the second I felt a bit of pain. Such a shame because this app has been useful up until now and I know I'm not the only person who's stopped using this site for the same reason.

I'm going to ignore that this turned into a GBCB thread and answer in case anyone else comes in here with the same question, ha. 

My baby definitely dropped a week ago.  Cue the incredible back pain, constant bowel movements, lightning crotch, waddling, and feeling like the baby is falling out - oy.  BUT, the indigestion relief is worth every one of those symptoms.  I ate a full dinner and didn't stay up all night choking on reflux crap.  All of this happened with DD1.  My guess would be it's normal.

I'm 18 and a FTM but I certainly wouldn't be on the internet looking for answers, FROM STRANGERS, if I was worried. Especially with her going into pre term labor before! I would've had my butt in a hospital ASAP. So, the whole "I'm 22 and a FTM" is just her trying to justify sounding stupid. I agree, the "must be an American thing" was the most offending thing I read on this post.

Well said! I too ace noticed allot of people writing not very encouraging replies and it just makes me feel too intimidated to write things sometimes

@lpinup I'm not sure how telling someone to call their doctor instead of asking internet strangers, who for the most part, are NOT doctors, isn't an encouraging response.  I think that's the best darn response you could get.  And if someone is panicked enough to ask a forum what to do, why aren't they calling their doctor in the first place?

I think as a first time it can be scary and I know from personal experience that sometimes just a little support and reassurance goes a long way. I can understand why she may feel that people are being rude some of the responses haven't been very nice. Yes I do agree that if in doubt contact your midwife.. But we are all going through the same thing and some advice and just nice words can go a long way.. I don't see the need to make people feel intimated or stupid because they have worries. This community is about giving advice sharing experiences I thought... Or Am I wrong?

@BellinghamMama‌ yeah I know the comment about being American was a bit below the belt and immature but it's clear retaliation to some of the nasty comments given... having just read through posts allot of the responses have had negative feedback and all usually by the same 5 people weirdly enough.. Just don't see the need to make comments that make you feel stupid just because you have a worry and asking to see if anyone can share on the same experiences.. Can I just ask what are people actually allowed to talk about on here, perhaps you could enlighten us "uneducated" girls so we don't make any of you ladies cross.. Haha
