Lead concerns from Shooting

My husband and I enjoy going shooting occasionally and mostly at outdoor ranges; however I have become more concerned the more I read about lead effects of the amounts of lead that we could be bringing home after shooting. I am trying to conceive and will not plan on shooting while pregnant but am worried about him bringing home lead residue after shooting or when cleaning his guns. For example when shooting outside you can't wash your hands before you get in the car etc so I guess I worry that trace amounts can get on other objects even though he eventually washes up. Would this occasional type of exposure to lead be enough that I should be concerned while pregnant or once we have kids in the home? This is only a few times a year so not excessive exposure but still worried since some articles mention even small amounts could harm unborn babies or small kids (yet they never give you amounts!)
