This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently pregnant.

 

If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include you EDD and how many beans you have cooking.

Q: What’s your skincare routine? Fav product?

 

Blueberries8-11/25-19+1 today...thankfully everything has been pretty uneventful lately. My PPROM milestone with Naava and Aminadav is this week. I will be so happy to hopefully get past it...I am pretty anxious, knowing the next 9ish weeks are super critical but psychologically, I think I will be able to better distinguish between the two twin pregnancies once I am past the gestation at which I lost N&A. I've had 2 good cervical length measurements since the borderline one. I am just exhausted by the end of the day (morning is my most functional time) and I am already getting sooo big. Feeling very, very thankful things are pretty boring right now.

Byrne15-10/14-I'm due on Dec 27th and will be 30 weeks tomorrow.  This baby is a girl and will be our 3rd and final.  Everything has gone very well this pregnancy and I'm looking forward to our Christmas time baby!

 

Chiwifey-EDD9/5/15-1/6-My first u/s is Monday! I'll be 6w2d so I'm nervous about seeing a heartbeat. And I can't wait to see if there is 1 or 2 little sweeties in there!

 

djma81-11/25-6w4d today! Had first US with RE yesterday.....just one little bean!! Woohoo!! Heartbeat good...119. Go back for another 12/8. 

 

Ducky719-EDD 3/8/15 -1/6-31 weeks and just super bummed this week.  I feel like time has just stopped and I don't know how I'll get through the next 9 weeks.  I am just tired of being tired, slow and large.  Work sucks (just boring and I'm unmotivated since I am going out in 5 weeks) and I feel like I don't have much to look forward to but my sweet Sophie and my bowl of ice cream at the end of the night.  Whomp whomp.  I'm also not really looking forward to the PP period while I heal.  Or labor really.  I'm not scared of labor, just not looking forward to it...but at least I can say labor is temporary and won't last that long.  The PP period is like 6 weeks of hell.  Physically I feel great so that's something.  Just another funk for me that's all.  Next appointment is Monday which is an u/s to check on LO's growth.

Itsmevkb-12/30-I think I've missed a few check-ins since I'm not 22 weeks.  I had the anatomy scan and everything looked good.  My blood pressure keeps creeping up so that's a bit of a concern so I am just hoping that things stay where they are.  Oh, and the baby is HUGE, measuring over two weeks ahead.  Because of that, lucky me gets to do the GD testing next week instead of at the normal 28 or so weeks.

 

JBDamonM-I will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and have my first ultra sound next Tuesday  I can't wait and am really hoping for all good news

Jenny935-1/6-31 wks today! While I agree with @ducky719 about time standing still in some ways (Oh how I wish I could just fall into bed & sleep w/out aches pains and heartburn!) I'm also feeling like OMG 9 more weeks and I have to figure out how to parent a toddler and a newborn at the same time! Also like Ducky I am worried about PP pain. My tear last time was so awful that it still hurts some days, and I'm a couple months from possibly doing it again! But in general, I feel ok and keep chugging. I did get an unexpected snow day today, and it was decided so late that DS was already at daycare so for the first time ever I left him there and went home by myself.

Jessylayne8-EDD8/15/15-1/6-I had my first u/s yesterday and LO measured perfectly. 

Julie21613-EDD is 7/21/15-1/6-12w1d.  NT scan was supposed to be yesterday...but they had to reschedule till tomorrow.  Excited to see my little ones!  praying everything is ok.  Still very nauseous and tired.  Hoping that is coming to an end soon.

Kdfecarie, EDD 8/29/14 (CS 8/22/14) 7/22 sorry its been a while life is crazy here right now, and i dont see it letting up till maybe november! 35 weeks now, and baby will be here in 26 days! I cant believe its so soon!!! Been rough with contractions and sickness making a return... Only a few more weeks!

 

KDR1919- EDD 4/16/15-8/12 I'm very early, 5 weeks tomorrow. EDD 4/16/15. My ultrasound is scheduled for 8/25. I'm still taking estradiol and progesterone 3 x daily. I don't feel pregnant and this doesn't seem real yet! It is hard to believe that it took 12 embryos over 5 transfers to get my twins and this pregnancy is from 1 single frozen embryo?!?

 

KMC84-EDD4/11/15-1/6-26w3d here.  This pregnancy is definitly harder than when I was pg with A.  My heartburn is nonstop and I actually woke up from a dream where I was having terrible heartburn, except it wasnt just a dream...I woke up almost vomiting from hb ' alt=":(" class=emoji title=":(" v:shapes="_x0000_i1028">  I got maternity compression stockings because I'm getting varicose veins all over.  They are so hard to get on, but wow, what a difference! I'm starting to have a little anxiety about L&D because I can't go past 38 weeks and I don't want an induction, I dont want to deliver before 37 weeks again, I want to get home ASAP because I don't want to be away from A.  She has never spent a night away from us and it gives me such guilt to think of leaving her!

Lynnyloo-11/25-8w3d today, thankfully no more bleeding since last Monday, next appointments on the 9th with OB and 15th with the MFM.

 

LuvBoston, EDD 3/9/15-1/6-31 weeks 1 day, had an u/s yesterday baby looks great, bigger than LO was at birth. Still no delivery date MFM said we will see how things evolve  alt=":(" class=emoji title=":(" v:shapes="_x0000_i1025">
I lost my sh-t on the secretary because she was giving me a hard time about booking my weekly appts because of mlk day. I got so overly angry I almost leapt over the desk to punch her. I feel like I wake up every morning in a worse mood than the day before and I'm just waiting for someone to piss me off. I don't get it I'm usually mellow and hate ppl behind their backs.:) I am having nicu dreams every night which I think is stressing me out and wakes me up. 
I also feel exactly like @Ducky719‌ I have no desire to go through the pain I experienced after my c section I don't want to go through 11 months of pt again.

 

mdiblasi10 –EDD 1/30/15- 1/6-37 weeks tomorrow. One more OB appointment the 16th and my RCS is scheduled for the 23rd - only two weeks to go, ahhhh!!!! I was open to a VBAC, but I would have to go into labor on my own (no induction) by then and it isn't looking like that's very likely. My OB checked my cervix on Monday and there was nothing going on in the slightest. But I am at peace with that - it is what it is. My belly is ginormous so I'm pretty uncomfortable by the end of the day, but still feeling good for how far along I am. We are so excited to meet her, even Grayson talks about her every day unprompted  Soooooo sweet!

Mayzie15- EDD 2/01/15-1/6-36 weeks and I have my fourth cold during this pregnancy. Severe anemia, Four colds and the flu - this time and my Dr. doesn't understand why I'm not gaining weight? I have an appt today to test for strep b and we finally get to see this little man on an ultrasound. I'm excited about that " /> I'm officially on leave and it's strange to realize in under a month I will have an infant and a toddler. We have decided to keep my son in daycare Tuesday & Thursday - which seemed silly since I'm home - but I'm thankful because there is still so much to get done and I'm tired a lot now. 

Mnerani – 9/2-Headed to 36 weeks this weekend! I have just started to feel big, slow, and tired- the lovely end of third tri. Our shipment from Kenya is going to be delivered to our house on Saturday (!) which is the last big, move-related "to do" before the baby arrives. Once we get all of that stuff moved in, I know I'm going to be like "OK, baby- time to meet your family!"

 

Mnj05-1/6-14w4d! I am starting to feel this one move from time to time now but not often. My appointment is next week!

 

Pennylane26 -Boy EDD 11.26.14 –11/11-Thanks for all of the kind words last week ladies! So I was put on bed rest for high BP/early Pre-E symptoms on Monday but then my BP just kept going up and I spent the week on the postpartum unit in the hospital until they could get a handle on my BP meds. I was discharged Thursday afternoon and am on restricted activity. BP is ok, not great (a little high) so as of now I'm taking my meds religiously and hoping to put off an induction for a bit longer (my ticker is off, I am 36w4d). I would love to make it to 39w although I'm not sure that is going to happen!

 

Racheyt0277-EDD.6.22.15-12/30-I am 15w1d. I had my elective u/s today & found out it's a boy! Collin is going to have a little brother & I am super excited. 

srveatch –11/18- I just had my last visit before induction day on Tuesday. Baby brother seems happy and healthy and I am still 3cm dilated and holding steady so I guess I will make it til Tuesday which is alright with me. I like to plan things  I can't wait to meet this little guy but I am getting nervous about how I will handle being a mother of two and a wife and working full time. It all seems so overwhelming. QOTW: We usually bring her favorite toys for the ride and let her play apps on the iPad. We have found some free Educational apps made by Tiny Hands that she loves. They are puzzles and matching games. We also try to leave during sleeping or napping times. She is a great car sleeper so it works out well. We haven't flown with her yet but have flying trips coming up in February and in June and it will be both of them.

Robeano-EDD 2/3/15- 1/6-36 weeks today! Almost full term. I also realized I have so much to do before baby comes, just waiting for some nesting energy lol. Hospital tour this Thursday, midwife appointment Wednesday. And I gotta book my next ultrasound for next week. Getting near the end!!

I am 17w1d. I took my 3hr GTT yesterday & pretty sure I failed miserably (I checked with my own monitor each time) I will get a call from the Dr today or tomorrow. I had GD with my 1st son, so know what to expect. Everything else is going well; have no complaints!

Things are headed in the wrong direction over here.  I failed the one hour GD test so I'm doing the three hour Friday morning.  I'm dreading it.  I failed the one hour with Maren but only by 7 points and then passed the three hour.  This time I failed by 27 points so I guess that's giving me less hope of passing on Friday.

Also, my doc checked my cervix at my last appointment and said it felt a little short to him, although closed which was good.  So, I had an ultrasound where it has shortened from my last ultrasound but not enough for it to be of huge concern but come on, of course I'm going to worry, especially since I can't feel it shortening so I'm paranoid.  I go back on Monday to have it checked again.  My blood pressure was also the highest it's been at that appointment but I don't think it helped that they took it right after I drank that sugar drink for the GD test.  I've been taking it myself at home and sometimes it's normal, other times higher but I don't think I've gotten a reading above 140/90 and my doc said he'd start to worry if it hits 150/90.

I'm really only about three months away from having this baby and I'm starting to feel like it's all going too fast.  It's hard knowing this is my last.  I am trying to cherish every kick and yes, even every incident of heartburn and vomiting.  Weird, I know.

As for a skin routine, yea, I've been too lazy for all that.  I typically use Clarins products.  I love their cleansing milk.  It doesn't foam but I actually really like that about it.

37w4d! My last appointment is Friday. RCS is in 10 days - so crazy. I don't have much faith that I will go into labor before then, but I guess it's still possible. I scheduled a prenatal massage for tomorrow with my Mom and then a mani/pedi next Tuesday, so getting in some much needed pampering before she comes  

QOTW: I use Aqua Glycolic Facial Cleanser every morning in the shower, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion after the shower and Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes every evening to take off my makeup. I think my favorite is the cleanser - it's safe during pregnancy and keeps breakouts away.

This my last week in the 2nd tri!!! Eek and yay! The belly is definitely getting in the way more, but I'm feeling pretty good. I started taking Zantac 150mg in the morning and it has basically eliminated my heartburn! The veins in my right leg are concerning me a bit and I'm fairly certain I'm looking at laser surgery as soon as feasable I have an OB appointment and growth scan tomorrow, so I'll see if they have any input.

QOTW: I use Belli pre treatment scrub every morning. I sometimes use a tea tree soap at night, but my skin is getting very dry and sensitive....blaaaa If I wear makeup, my skin gets even angrier.

15w4d and doing well. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'm still on crinone which is driving me crazy, not sure how much longer I'll be on that. QOTW: I don't have a skin care routine but I should. I don't even wash my makeup every night which is horrible.

32 weeks today! Pregnancy wise I feel fine, but I've been fighting some kind of GI/intestinal virus for a few days which has been super fun. 8 weeks seems like an eternity in some ways and seconds away in other ways. I spent last week organizing clothes to hand me down to the next boy in the chain and deciding what I could keep for a girl (plain black pants? They can stay!) DS's big boy comforter and bed rails came in the mail today and I think we're going to work on his room soon. 

@ducky719 Without really changing any of my eating too much, I only gained 1 pound in 3 weeks between appointments in December, and then 4 pounds in 2 weeks this time. And the 1 pound time included Christmas! I guess it fluctuates! 

QOTW: I don't have one either. DH is the skin person around here

37 weeks today. I had an NST last Friday and my blood pressure was quite high. So I am now on labetalol twice a day. I have also been transferred care from my midwives to an OB. I have my first OB appointment tomorrow and we are going to be discussing the plan for this baby. I have decided that I will schedule a RCS for as late as possible. Cuz at the last ultrasound last Wednesday the baby was measuring 6.8lbs and I just don't think it's worth it to induce early just cuz the baby is measuring big on an ultrasound. And this gives my body a chance to go into spontaneous labour, and if it doesn't, well I know what to expect from a c-section. And taking the induction off the table has given me a huge sense of relief. I just had so many factors going against it.

But on the good news, no headache, and less heartburn today so I think the meds are starting to kick in!

QOTW: Like a few other ladies said, not much of a routine O_o

37 weeks and my heartburn is out of control and I'm still getting over this nasty cold. I haven't packed my hospital bag yet and we are frantically putting stuff together. I've scheduled my newborn photos - so it's progress. My mom is still living with us so there will be no nursery setup for this baby and that makes me sad . For now the baby will be staying in our room and then sharing with DS1.

QOTW I don't wear any makeup and I don't have a nighttime skin routine.

My official due date is 9/2/2105. 

7 weeks today. Had my first ultra sound yesterday and things looked perfect First OB appt is a week from tomorrow.

QOTW - I use Paula Wexler products, which I like because they are anti aging. I did however buy a new face wash (Sephora brand) because I didn't think the Wexler one was safe during pregnancy, but turns out it is.... I'll rotate between the two. On work at home days, and sometimes weekends I don't put on makeup, which means I don't wash my face before bed. Kind of nasty

@ducky719 - I stepped on the scale this AM and am up 6 lbs!!!! 6 lbs and I"m only 7 weeks along The frustrating part for me, is that I am really not eating that differently. Maybe a few things I don't typically have, but not 6 lbs worth. With DD I put all of my weight on in the beginning, certainly hoping that's the case this time as well Regardless, I feel your pain!

I'm 13weeks 1 day.  Had my NT scan last week...everything looked great.  Little ones really look like tiny babies now! Its crazy!

I use Este Lauder face wash, advanced night cream and their moisturizer.  Been using their products for ever!

Had my OB appt today, everything is status quo with baby. I am in the dog house for my immune issues, two times in the er this week etc. Immunologist gave me new meds but I can't drive so I am going to be locked at home every night from dinner on with my mommy babysitting me and LO. The immunologist said to go to the er as many times as it takes to make things better so basically I might as well move in. My OB still won't concede to 37 weeks and frankly it's pissing me off why must I be tortured. My MFM is not happy about the whole situation so hopefully she will do something to push my OB.

So I have an eviction date. January 28th! Although my OB has put me on the wait list in case an earlier c-section date comes up. So in less than two weeks I will have my little snuggle of joy with me

@luvboston‌ I'm so happy to hear that baby is doing well! I'm sorry you're not feeling so great Hopefully your OB gets their head out of their arse and realizes what a toll this is on you!
