She's been going into the baby's room and taking everything out.... I find it all in her closet. She says it's hers. I think she'll be a good helper but it's hard to say how easy the transition is going to be.
I love the doll idea as well. Sawyer loves to change, feed and rock her baby while I do the same to Lennon. We had Lennon give the gifts to the other kids when she was born. Obviously Emma and Beckett knew they were from me, but Sawyer thought the new baby gave her a gift and she liked it. As far as W taking the baby's stuff, maybe you could try emphasizing that those things are for the baby and she's a big girl. I do that a lot with Sawyer when I'm carrying Lennon and she wants me to carry her too. I tell her that she can walk because she's a big girl and Lennon doesn't even know how to do that. I also praise A LOT for helping. Even if Sawyer brings something I don't need, like a diaper when I'm feeding, I make sure to thank her for helping and then ask her to save the diaper for later. She loves to help and is a good big sister. But she's also 2 and gets jealous and wants all of my attention sometimes. Luckily, Lennon is a chill ass baby and doesn't care if I put her in the swing to chill with Sawyer. Sorry about my rambling, super excited for you to have another little girl!

Winn has come a long way I think... she has been so interested in babies we see IRL after watching some videos of babies eating and crying. We talk about what babies do, and how much help I am going to need.
I noticed the jealousy thing and that is why I have been trying to be more aware of things I do and say. I got her some things to hang on her walls so she doesn't feel left out of the room decorating.
And THUMBS UP to the gift being from the baby, I really like that a lot!
I'm excited that you're excited about my kid I would have loved to have a boy, but I am like - crazy happy this is a little girl because I think she and W will be BFFS (4EAE).
I would really like to get G a new baby doll and some accessories. I'd love to get her a baby ergo, not even sure where to look or a price. I know they make baby bucket seats.
I also like the doll/accessories idea. @redneckmomma25, Amazon, BBB and the ergo site all have the doll versions. DS just got a book when DD was born, along with some snacks during his hospital visit.
@redneckmomma25 I have been looking so I can clue you in! $24-30 for a doll carrier. I am having trouble pulling the trigger! The mini ergo, boba, and beco are all the sameish price.
When Aedan was born we got Brody a new bag of toys which included a few things that were good for the hospital. Just a thought if you think she'll be there for a bit. It kept him happy while everyone was gushing over the baby.
In our case, we invested in a bunch of soft balls because Brody's favorite activity was to pick up a baseball or tennis ball and throw it in the house. I feared for Aedan's safety (after Brody informed me that he couldn't wait to play baseball with his brother) and hid all of his and replaced with baby safe ones.
We also got Maya a doll and accessory set when Ethan was born. She loved to feed, change, rock, etc. when we did it. Of course, that lasted a week and then she adopted a pink ball as her new "baby" and did all of those things with it. We have some really cute/funny pics of her feeding a ball with a baby bottle.

I cannot remember what I did for DS, mother of the year!
I wanted to tell you though, @tinyhumantoe that Jimmy Fallon's second daughter born in December in Frances! He has a Winnie and Frannie!
I know! Jenndub announced it a few weeks ago and that is why we were thinking we couldn't use the name. Then we decided F it, Frankie is different enough from Frannie.
I will be interested to see what DH picks because I'm leaving it up to him Frances/Frankie vs Florence/Florrie. He came home last night saying Lilly and I was like Fuck You, I just made a letter F wall thingy so if you want Filly or Fefony we can talk, haha.
We gave DD1 a few Baby Stella accessories from the baby, they still get played with daily. DD1 insisted that we get DD2 her own Baby Stella for Christmas, now when the girls 'play' together DD1 will bring over both the babies and tell DD2 "our babies are sisters and best friends like us, I love you sister!" It is the sweetest thing ever.

MOTY-Baby Sam gave nothing to the boys. I feel like both boys were showered(aka-spoiled) with Xmas this year that I just skipped it. Plus, our hospital has a flu epidemic rule about visitors having to be over the age of 18. So, jack & will couldn't even come to see us and get a gift from the baby.
Last night when they got here with MIL, they had party favors from a little girl at daycare who had her Bday over the weekend. The mom knew we had a lot going on so she didn't invite us but still gave our boys the mini lunch boxes, crayons, coloring book, candy, etc. It was the hit of the night with my big kid, more so than meeting his baby brother. Oh well! Made me feel less guilty.
