Are you talking about the teen mom who is accused of killing her baby? ?If so, yes, that is so very sad. ?There are so many other options

You must be talking about that 16yr old. The worst part is that her Dad either helped her or knew. SO many people would have loved to raise that baby. So sad.

I have a weird feeling about that situation - like it was the dad's idea or something. I don't know why I think that, but I can see it being a scared, powerless girl and a crazy dad... No matter what though, very sad and disturbing.

I know, so sad. Even if she didn't feel able to do adoption, the Safe Haven laws will let you leave the baby at a hospital or other staffed location, no questions asked.

Yeah, I have a feeling the dad was more involved than he's saying.  He says "oh yeah I saw a baby in the trash but didn't say anything" and he says he didn't even know his kid was PG?  come on.   My guess is he wigged out on the girl and either HE or she freaked.

 But yeah, how is THAT your option?  Why couldn't you just take the baby to the hospital or a fire station or a church or something and leave?  Even if that's not legal now, at least the baby would be safe.  I'm not sure if it's legal here or not to do the "safe haven" thing?   It sure should be.   I just don't see how someone could kill a baby just because you (or your dad) dind't want it.   It's sickening.
