so...my 6 month DD had her wel check today and it was noted that she has dropped from the 20th percentile to the 10th (born at the 50th) her length has also dropped though from the 40th to the 20th. She has only gained a pound since her last visit about 6 weeks ago. The doctor isn't pushing formula yet but he wants me to watch her intake and maybe offer her more bottle of breastmilk so we can see exactly how much she's eating. He said this could be normal adjustment since she is a chunky little thing and obviously has fat on her but that we need to watch it in case she drops lower. She nurses about every 2 hours during the day and we've already been giving her a bottle at after nursing at night with 2-3oz just to top her off. I work 2 night shifts a week and when I pump I get 4oz so that's what I send with her to mother days out he next day...she typically takes 2 4oz bottles and one jar of baby good at MDO. I've been pumping at night about 4 hours after she goes to bed and get 2-3 oz and that's what I use to feed her before bed the next night. dr wants me to start sending her to MDO with 5-6oz but I don't know how I can get that much when I never pump more than 4oz. I'm already dipping into my small freezer stash so that my DH can feed her the two nights in at work. Help! Am I starving my baby? Should I be concerned about low supply?
