  • @rubysi - Hey lady! How are you?

I'm feeling pretty crappy today.  Temp drop this AM, so I know AF will be here today or tomorrow.  I had little to no optimism for this cycle, but it still sucks.  I'm thinking of trying Acupuncture this cycle and have a request in to have someone call me for an appointment.  (There was a $10 off your first session if you sent an email.)  I just feel like I need to do something different.  I'm also ordering a new BBT today, just cause.  My old one takes SO LONG to take a reading and is over a year old, so I'm foolishly believing that a new one will make a difference.

Sorry for the Debbie Downer post.  ((((HUGS)))) ladies!

  • Hello @rubysi, thanks for the check in! How are you doing?

@rmpar29 nothing wrong with trying something different! I have never tried acupuncture but do know that it's helped some of my friends with some of their problems (not TTC related). A new BBT may not be a bad idea either, they are cheap enough and it will give you a peace of mind. Mine did something weird this morning, I took it, it registered very quickly but it was low. I took it again and it was up a few points...and it took much longer to read. Mine is relatively new though so I am not sure what's going on.

AFM: Still TTA as we wait for our RE appointment that is quickly really slowly approaching. MH and I had some really good long talks during our long road trip and I am sad to report that we may be done with the TTC journey. I asked MH flat out what HE wants. He said that he just wants me to be ok. He was so very scared during my April MC because it was a bad one, he's terrified of losing me. We seem to be on the same page regarding treatments if they are needed. If I have to do any sort of treatment, like daily injections, medications, etc, etc, we are probably definitely done. With that agreed upon our hardest decision will be if everything comes back normal. I am not sure I have it in me to keep on keeping on. :(

I am hanging around here for a bit longer, at least until my RE appointment, just in case something changes our minds.

And I am SO very sorry for outdoing @rmpar29's debbie downer post (which really wasn't that bad, lady!)

*hugs* to all that needs them.

I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

It sucks when we loose our optimism. I hope the acupuncture helps. Sometimes we need a change to renew some hope. Big hugs lady.

I think I am getting anxious for your RE appointment. I hope you get some answers soon. We are at that point of trying to decide if we are the end. The RE believes that my tubes though empty might not be actually grabbing eggs, ivf is the suggestion.  I have been with dh for a long time and we are finally in a comfortable financial point. We are looking into the options.

  • @rubysi it's such a hard decision and I think about it non stop. *hugs* to you. If you ever need to talk about it , I am a PM away! It's hard to talk about the possible end of the road on the boards. I don't want to discourage others :(

  • Hey ladies.

@rubysi Thanks for the checkin.  I am sorry you are having to face the decision of whether or not to do IVF.  I hope you come to a decision you and YH are happy with.

@rmpar29 I am sorry AF is on her way :(

@nikolie93 I hope that the RE gives you a reason to try a bit more, but whatever you decide I hope that you are at peace with the decision.

    @furrypaws have fun this week!

AMF Holy God-awful cramps, Batman.  They woke me up - twice.  I have heard that the first post surgical AF is bad and I now totally agree.  I think my ute is on fire.  Other than that I have nothing to report.  I am back to work next week.

    Thanks for the ckin!

We are in FW and should O later this week so it's HIO time! :)

I've recently decided to try meditating. I need to focus more on me and DH and our happiness.
I like the idea of focusing on your happiness. I think we forget about that when we are trying to attain this one goal. Hugs

Hi ladies!!! May I join you in this check in? I'm not officially AMA until tomorrow, but thought what the hey?!@rubysi‌ - Best of luck to you guys, whichever route you decide to take! @rmpar29‌ - I'm so sorry for AF arriving soon again. That acupuncture appt sounds so interesting! Definitely keep us posted as to how it goes!! @Nikolie93‌ - ((hugs))...you know how I feel about everything going on with you, Nikki. Supporting you with whichever direction you guys decide to go! @furrypaws‌ - WOOHOO FW!!!! HIO!! HIO!!! Oh and how do you like meditating! I used to do it regularly but haven't in a looooong time! @meredithcarole‌ - Ugh!! I hate those middle of the night waking cramps!! I'm so sorry - hope it'll subside soon!! QOTW: Non TTCAL goals? Well I guess some home improvement projects. Seems to always be one every year! I guess it comes with being a homeowner...always have something to do!
Welcome and Happy Birthday. We seem to always be planning the next projects. This year is the roof, front porch extension, paved driveway, and landscaped front yard... I am gonna be busy.

  • @agptj413 - Welcome to the check-in and Happy Birthday love!!!  I know what you mean about home improvement projects.  DH and I are in the middle of a bathroom remodel (that started in August...ugh) and we hired a contractor to take part of a bedroom to make it a walk-in closet and that started today.  YAY!  I know what you are thinking...why don't we hire the contractor to finish the bathroom?  Well, he's going to be doing some work in there that DH doesn't like to do (taping and mudding) but DH wants to install the floors, vanity and toilet.  He's particular about those things.  LOL

@rubysi‌ - Oh wow!! That's a lot!! We did the shed roof last year and converted an old dog pen (a huge one!) into a chicken coop! We used Ondura for the roofing. Here are some pics. After weighing out costs & labor for shingles, this was more cost effective. MH and a friend did it over the weekend. Materials were available at Home Depot. ETA: It's composite roofing
We used something similar on the greenhouse. It was transparent.

Can I be added to the list.  I am just finishing my 2nd miscarriage.  We got results from my RPL testing and I have an appt with a high risk dr next Wednesday. On Monday, I have what is hopefully my final check up with my OB to make sure my ute is clear.

As for my TTC status, like many,  I am at a bit of a cross roads right now.  Looking at what I tested positive for, it does not seem to be a factor until later in pregnancy.  My doctor said given how early the losses were it was probably due to age/bad eggs and we could start trying as soon as we were ready as my problem is not getting pregnant.  I'm thinking about maybe seeing an RE to at least confirm it is age and not something else which would mean we would probably have to put off TTC for awhile.  That leads to the decision, hold off for an RE, getting older every month, NTNP until an RE appt, or jump right in and hope the third time is the charm.  This is secondary infertility, so IVF will not be an option if the losses are age related. We also have a high deductible which means we would be paying out of pocket until we hit the deductible, so cost is also a factor.  I'm hoping to have more clarity after I hear what the high risk doctor says.  Maybe my research is off.

Sorry for another whiney (sp?) post.

Working out at least 4 times a week.  That is my new goal.  Today will be my first day if I make it to the gym.

  • Hello lovelies,
I'm dropping in.  AMA is such a dirty whore!  Just had to get that off my chest. For all of you on the fence for continuing, I can completely understand.  I'm giving it one more shot with IVF and if it doesn't work, I'm moving on...

Currently waiting to start progesterone on the 26th to prep for my 2nd and final IVF.  Taking a ton of supplements from my Acupuncturist to help improve my egg quality.  I was excited to see my FSH was down to 7.9 on CD3. I was told all my #s looked really good so I'm getting more excited now to do this. (Maybe all those dang herbs are working!!)

QOTW: My goal is to get healthy. I joined Weight Watchers on Saturday. I gained a shit-ton of weight this past year but I'm finally ready to do it.

  • Sorry to see you here, @lcwed‌ but welcome! The crossroads suck so very bad... As does the waiting. Good luck with starting the workouts! I know how hard it is but I feel better since I started *hug*

@Lesliem0901‌ you and I sound like the same person... Extra 2014 weight and all. I giggled a bit at your dirty whore comment, because it's true. Sorry you find yourself here. Good luck to you on the weight loss!
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • @VesperLynch‌ I swear to you, it's like your in my head..or you're me. All the way down to every single thought you're having, to knowing early on you didn't want to go through any treatments, to never wanting kids until you approached 40. The similarities are amazing.

The decision is so hard and I have tears in my eyes. I am going to read that article you posted, I've been looking for topics on this.

I know you're leaving but please feel free to reach out to me via PM if you ever need to chat. So many *hugs* for you.

@lcwed - Welcome!  Good luck at your appointment.

@Lesliem0901 - Welcome!  What herbs does your Acupuncturist have you taking?  I'm seeing an Acupuncturist for the first time today.  Well, first time for fertility reasons.  I'm a little nervous of all the herbs she will undoubtedly put me on, but it's worth a shot right?

@VesperLynch - I'm so sorry to see you go, but I'm glad that you and DH are on the same page of moving on.  Many ((((HUGS)))) and I wish you the best for the future.

Hi @rmpar29.  I'm taking Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang, OvaBoost, Garden of Live Raw Prenatals, Zinc, and 2 Amino Acids.  I just ordered an organic pre-conception tea off of Amazon. I figured I better throw everything at this last attempt!
