I just realized in all of our sickness that my immersion blender arrived and I haven't even tried it out yet! I went out and saw the Amazon package sitting behind the chair in my living room. My mom must have brought it in when she came to watch my kids one of the nights this week. Anyway, I haven't had coffee in a week and I'm making one in the morning (in 2 hours?) and I'm going to test my new blender with it. Tell me what you put in yours again? Coconut milk? Do you use the stuff in a carton that you would pour in cereal or the full fat stuff from a can? What else? I am very excited to blend all the things today.

I do the full fat coconut milk and a little maple syrup. It's sooooo yummy!

Sorry, was I too late? It also works with coconut oil if you need a few extra calories.

And obviously don't try to blend it in your coffee cup. You need something taller. I brew my coffee into my bullet cup and blend in there, then pour into a coffee cup.

Nope @stringy813, not more milk.  I use maybe 2 oz. coconut milk to 8 oz. coffee.

Also, I almost sent you a pic of P's butt last night.  Her entire butt is covered in some weird redness.  It's not bad, and she doesn't seem bothered by it.  And it's not like any of the rashes E ever got.  It sort of just feels like dry skin, a little rough, and it's red.  But just a little, not bright and angry.  I covered her whole body in aveeno lotion because she felt a little bumpy all over (she kind of always does) and I slathered her whole butt in CJs.  Does that sound like eczema?

Butting in, but that sounds like eczema, TJ. I have to use Ceraphil, Ceraphe, or Babyganics on the boys, and hydrocortisone on the stubborn spots.

This board and it's obsession with immersion blenders saved my morning!  I think I might have killed my bullet (gasp!  nooooooo!)  I had never even thought of using an immersion blender for a smoothie.  But lo and behold, it was an excellent substitute.

I think it depends on the store. If your store has a "health food" section, I would look there. My coop has it with all the nut butters. I've also seen it with international foods (middle eastern).

I've seen it in the deli section near packaged hummus and pita chips

The only place I've seen tahini is at Whole Foods.  And it was super expensive.

Can you freeze humus?  I wouldn't mind making it at home, but I'd rather make a larger batch and save some for later.

SAK you should ask at your grocery store. Mine carries it near the peanut butter and somewhere else, too. The price difference was astronomical, and the one I get (which ends up costing way, way less) is actually organic, too.
