I love technology. But in this moment it's driving me insane because I'm impatient and worried. I had to take the 1-hour glucose test early because of my bmi. The test results were posted on my online chart. My glucose level was 126 mg/dL, and my doctor flagged the test. The normal range listed in the results said 65-99 mg/dL.
But from everything I read online about the 1 hour glucose test, anything under 140 mg/dL is fine, and under 130 is even better. I read that a fasting glucose level higher than 99 is worrisome; but I wasn't fasting obviously because I drank the sugar drink and had lunch 2 hours prior. I'm so confused. Ill certainly be calling my doctor tomorrow. But before I stay up all night worrying I have diabetes does anyone know anything about this?
Re: Normal Results for 1-hour Glucose Test?

The main thing to keep in mind is that the 1-hour is just a screen. It's to pick up anyone who might be having an issue. The 3-hour is diagnostic. So it's totally possible to fail the one hour and still have absolutely no issues.

She probably will anyway. At this point, they're just trying to eliminate pre-existing diabetes. Even if you pass the first time, you'll still likely end up taking the test again around 20 weeks to test for gestational diabetes.
OP, I wouldn't worry about it right now. If you don't hear from your doctor tomorrow, give them a call to see what they think about the level. Worst case, you'll have to go for the 3 hour.
