    Good Luck to everyone cycling.

AFM:  No real updates.  Making an apt this week to see W(hy)TF my period has stopped.  I suspect menopause.  If things look alright with my blood work and ultrasound I will start on BCPs.

QOTW:  I have two furbabies and one reptile baby.  George is our female Red-Ear Slider, Sammy is our cat, Frankie is our cuddly dog.  I'm not sure what I would do without my furbabies!!

  • I am taking a month off and now just waiting for AF to come. Should be here last week in January. Really hoping #5 is my lucky number. Trying to stay busy.

Qotw: I had a fur baby for 11 years. He passed away last year. I miss him so much. Sending all your fur babies a hug! image
  • Best wishes to everyone cycling!

I feel good. My body finally feels normal but def. chunky! I had a potentially serious diagnosis last week. My cervix is shortening so they are watching that very closely. I was a wreck but now I'm hopeful and just grateful that they found it early. I go back next week to measure again. Possible worse case would be pre term labor/still birth! Treatment could be cerclage, progesterone shots or bed rest.

I love my puppy. His name is Lucky Finn and he is spoiled!

@1220winterbride‌, good luck! Glad they caught it early... I was diagnosed with this with the twins at 23 weeks... We did progesterone shots and bed rest... Cerclage wasn't an option for us... If you need anything or want to vent, PM me. Thinking of you!! @TRexsMum‌, congrats! Glad your gc is doing better... Hugs to @ thepsis7 and chicagobride. Here's our golden retriever, Brody

  • @JimBobCooter‌ - I'm glad to hear you are taking care of yourself.

@1220winterbride‌ - it is so scary when they tell you about all the possible risks... I hope that they can manage your shortened cervix successfully. I've heard of several success stories, so hang in there! It's great that they caught it early.

I graduated from the RE today and am going on 11 weeks tomorrow. I thought this day would never come!! I've been having a hard time with doctors not agreeing with each other's protocols, so I'm doing my best to balance it out. The MFM I saw today thinks Dr. KK's protocol is crazy and wants me to make several changes. Most of which, we are working towards (weaning off the progesterone, estrogen, prednisone, and Metformin). He raised concerns about my Lovenox dosage & isn't into the IVIg. Sigh. I don't know what to do!!

In addition, he wants to monitor growth because of the vanishing twin, do a cervix baseline at 16 weeks because I've done so many procedures with cervix manipulations, and weekly fetal heart monitoring from 18-28 weeks due to my Sjögren's syndrome. It was a lot to take in after he poo-poo'ed all the Dr. KK stuff.

I'm trying to stay focused on the positive - baby is growing well. S/he actually had a growth spurt and caught up a little! Rather than 6 days behind, we are 3-4 days behind which puts us in a much more comfortable range. Even still, it's so hard to relax when the doctors disagree like this!!

We are at the 9 week mark and I feel miserable. I finally had to break down and get something to help with the nausea.

We had a check up on the babies due to a cramping scare. And they look perfect. Heart beats are 169. I've just been taking it easy the past few days and thankfully the cramping went away.

  • @sassmaster33 , I hated all the shots

...and towards the end I was very bruised and bumpy. I whined, I cried, I cringed, some bled a little, Some of them had zero pain and some hurt. My husband gave them to me (almost all, except the one I gave myself in the thigh and I wanted to die!) He dreaded it toward the end!!

But it is so worth it, and some ladies do all of their own, try youtube, some say ice, some heat? I did ice first and heating pad after. I'm 21 weeks pg and I would not be here without them, Hope that helps!

@sassmaster33  the shots suck.  I had four failed transfers with 3 weeks of IM shots each, and these embryos stuck and I have literally two more shots left and I am so celebrating!  I gave them all to myself, it was tricky but I had a method.  Some didn't hurt at all and some hurt so bad I had to stop and start over with a new needle.  Since I've been pregnant, the process makes me super dizzy.  And don't stand over a rug or near anything you can't easily clean because once in a while you will probably bleed until you get pressure on the site.  You just power through and think of it as miracle grow for your little bean(s).

Had my first OB appointment today at 11 weeks and got to see the babies again wiggling all over, and I sent the intended parents a video.  They are really getting excited finally and sharing with their family and friends.

QOTW:  We currently just have Hammie the Hamster (original, yes?) and I'm looking forward to getting a dog again someday.
