SPD and swelling?!

Hi guys, don't post on here often but I'm in need of guidance! I have SPD and it's very painful to the point where I have to rest... A lot! This afternoon though, my legs and feet have swelled and my fingers and toes are tingly and cold! I've been mobile as much as is manageable and haven't seriously overworked. My bp was checked yesterday and I'm not convinced that I should be getting checked again but my partner is adamant that I should! This is my first baby and I'm 28week s on Wednesday...no idea what to expect!
Xx

Re: SPD and swelling?!

  • I'd err on the side of caution and call your doctor. They will let you know if they want to see you or not

No experience but good luck. Don't a lot about SPD but any kind of swelling and numbness and i would call my doctor.

    January Siggy Challenge: Fitness Fails

  • Quite sudden in the fact that I was fine yesterday, woke up this morning and thought my legs looked a bit puffy but became distinct when I had gotten out of the bath. I was just concerned as I know it could be lack of circulation but is also a sign of pre eclampsia? When my bp was checked in Friday it was absolutely fine so I'm at loggerheads as to whether to call someone or whether anyone had had experience with it and it was just a usual part of pregnancy
  • Thankyou for your support, I'm gonna finish my tea and call the local maternity unit. Better safe than sorry!
  • Did you call yet? What did they say? I hope all is well!

  • I called, they told me to keep an eye and if any other signs of pre-e started or if I didn't feel well in myself to go in straight away. I will do so, but I'm under very close watch this week as I have many appointments so won't be short of opinions ect.
    Thankyou all again
